That would be my guess as well.

Based on how he looked to my untrained eyes, I believe the job is his at this point. Maybe if/when Edouard gets healthy, he will be in the mix as well. Not sure how the position will be backed up. Assibo-Dadzie did not look ready to me, but maybe he's performing better in practice.

I’d they start 8 or more Nationals, back up shouldn’t be a problem.

That's true, ratio-wise, if they do in fact start eight or nine. But I saw nothing the other night that suggested any of the INT DBs is a natural to step in at safety. I think one or two of the vet halfbacks are gonna need some playing time there on Friday.

In an article posted by Hoagie, Shivers feels Slywka can play S.

Be nice if he could be a starting safety. Blackburn maybe not ready or experienced enough.

Blackburn (or other new comers) could progress during the long CFL season. Hopefully the Front 4 and Secondary will settle in during the 1st half of
season. Regarding Ojo, he could be a little behind because he missed the start of camp due to his NFL look. I fully expect him to be better than Robbie Smith...and that isn't a negative comment regarding Smith.

The secondary settled in nicely after what was, at times, a rough 1st half in 2024. I understand the concern, though, because it's with 2 positional groups in 2025 as opposed to just 1.
