The football gods have been pretty even keel on the Argos over the years. How one thinks they have been treated is likely coloured by how long the person has been an Argo fan. For me it has been since the early 1950s.
Since 1958 they have had something like 33 loosing seasons, with the longest stretch being 8 years from 1974 to 1981, and that includes the 2 win season in 1981.
They have had about the same number of winning seasons, as long as you count the 5 seasons or so when their record was even. The longest winning season stretch was 2003 to 2007 although they will match that this year if they have a winning season.
If you have been a fan since 2000, you have seen more winning seasons than loosing ones (14 to 10).
A couple of times they have had 4 years of winning seasons before a loosing one.
So one could predict that after 4 winning seasons, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the current one is not going to be successful, winning season wise.
