The offensive line that had a league low rushing naverage of 52 yards per game. That offensive line coach Kris Sweet?

I think the point about sending the league a letter is a good one, but I wonder if anyone would loose any sleep if Kris Sweet went to Ottawa. If Ottawa asks for permission to talk to him, the Argos should counter that they would agree if Ottawa agrees to swap first round picks in the next draft.

He's the same Kris Sweet that produced an o-line that was the league's best from late in the 2022 season to the end of 2024. I have tons of issues with the o-line play this year, but IMO there was a lot more to that than Sweet forgetting how to coach.

Watching the East Final, I am reminded of the Brent Monson mess of the last off-season While I am not convinced that was a huge loss, I suspect that Dinwiddie was really pissed off about Rogers/MLSE/Pelley not coming through with the necessary funds for the defensive coordinator that Dinwiddie wanted. I can't help but think that sowed the seeds of Dinwiddie's departure out of Toronto.

O'Shea is going to need some assurances that he will get what he needs from ownership if he's going to leave Winnipeg for Toronto.

The O-Line performance or lack thereof falls on the players.

I don't disagree that O'Shea won't come here unless he likes the situation, but I think it's an open question why Monson wasn't hired. Did MLSE refuse to spend to the cap, or did Pinball and Dinwiddie eat up too much of the cap to leave enough left for the support personnel they needed? I think the earlier losses of Magri and Russell point to the latter more than the former.

Is the Kilmer Group interested in full time ownership of the team? Rogers would not even be interested in selling until they get their payday from next year's "home" schedule. Our hope has to be that Rogers does want to own the Argos and wants to run them like a successful CFL team. Rogers has only had full ownership of MLSE since July 1. Their other franchises have kept them busier than usual. World Cup is coming.

If they do want to own the Argos they are the least complicated of their teams to run right now. They have good players. They have the franchises most successful name in Pinball involved. Structure and Title however you want, let him run it for MLSE and get out of the way. Paying him to be a President is not the same as Brendan Shanahan, Mark Shapiro or Masai Ujiri. Get out of your semantics and mske it happen.

I see virtually no likelihood Kilmer would move in. They're focusing on women's basketball, which they undoubtedly see as something that will escalate in enterprise value in the coming years.

I wish Rogers/Pelley would do what you suggest, but again I think that's highly unlikely. When they can generate potentially $100M in extra revenue in a few months from the Blue Jays, why would any Rogers exec waste any time on the Argos?

Thats exactly my point though. Don't waste your time on the Argos. Let Michael run it for you, and update as often as need be. His requirements to run the team including what you pay him won't even register with you when you can make $100 MM in post season alone with any of your other franchises.
Don't spend a moment on them. You don't need to. I'm assuming Rogers only owns the team because they don't want the bad PR of unloading them. Why do they care otherwise. If not then they are owning them to do intentional harm to them for some perverse agenda none of us are aware of.

I think that this is largely true although some blame has to be attached to the personnel that was brought in. Having Hunter play three different positions is ludicrous. IMO, for next season the biggest key is to bring in two solid tackles while having Hunter, Nicastro and Doxtater play inside. I think that using Americans on the o-line is a must if none of the Canadians are capable of starting. Look at the two Grey Cup finalists where Montreal uses three Americans and Sask uses four.

Arash Madani talked about the situation on Sports Cage. He mentions O'Shea and Chris Jones as apparently 2 of the name being looked at.

The bigger thing is he mentions that only Clemons and Murphy (and I assume Melissa Frith), as well as Shivers have been dealing with player personnel, and as has been mentioned, they haven't backfilled the Magri and Russell roles. So Dinwiddie has been taking additional responsibilities to fill the gap. Also, mentions that Murphy isn't around too much, though he is the primary player personnel person. Interesting to hear, as it might explain Dinwiddie leaving so quickly.

Also, it was interesting that Dinwiddie hasn't really thanked the Argos, Pinball, Toronto Fans, etc. as most do when they leave a city for a new role.
