Evidence from the football field is a curious or interesting thing. The Als cemented their recent win with a TD pass to an H-back in a tight end release, where in most cases, the guy is wide-open , uncovered for a big gainer; but no, that play should only be tried by a couple of teams once every few games ?

The lack of variety and deference to same old simple offence is a hallmark of CFL offences now IMO, but whatever.
I get what you are saying and I agree with you in principle. In the Argos case, Dinwiddie has been trying to scheme for Dukes' strengths. Having a variety of plays, especially long passes, doesn't work if your QB just isn't ready for it. It could easily result in more interceptions.

The offensive plays will be more dynamic when Kelly returns.

Went to Saltlik -- it was great steak.
Porterhouse? Filet mignon? We need details here.

One dimensional football on offence rarely wins much - maybe if you have Doug Flutie or Russ Jackson at QB, but otherwise variety really helps - that includes a ground game, some deep or intermediate passing to go along with basic CFL dink & dunk / check-down stuff; and creative, variety plays - like a jet sweep or a tight end release or a screen to a big fullback - can really add something too.

Dinwiddie could have went with wayyyy more ground game to help Dukes last game, especially with a decent lead well in the 2nd half.

Kelly brings downfield passing - intermediate & deep shots - that most CFL QBs do not bring now; plus they banged the run game at least some last year to help.

Curious how BC's big passing game with Adams just fell apart as they got slaughtered / shut-out by the Bombers; the BC offence is simpleton / predictable a lot of the time; no concerted ground game; little variety.

Dinwiddie agrees with you, OV, that they should have run the ball more on Sunday night. I expect that we will see more running on Friday, although Adeboboye is nursing a groin injury.
