A nice bounce back game with all 3 phases having solid performances. Kudos to all the fans who stayed 18,500. Better weather the attendance would be well over 20,000.
Hamilton should be the CNE opponent each year. Why don't MLSE play 2 home games during CNE every year? Boost attendance.
Naturally the Argos are now on road for 2 more games, again out West next week. After 2/3 of season they will have played 2 home games and 10 road games. Who draws that up? And who signs off on that? At league and at MLSE? If we still had journalism, questions should be asked.
Unless the CFL is willing to allow the Argos at home on Labour Day weekend, it’s always going to be near impossible to get the other two weekend games at the CNE. TFC deserves their share and they play many more home dates. Remember, Argos games shut down the field for approximately 6 days for field recovery, while TFC can play multiple times in the same week. They can’t play the same weekend, because it takes 2 days to covert to football mode.

A couple of pleasing stats from the game--1)145 yds rushing with Smith almost getting 100 (99). 2) Argos sacked Ford 4 times and kept Kelly clean the whole game. Lemon played another strong game. Who would have thought when Chatfield went down that 37 year old Lemon would play such a key role on the Argo D.
So why did it take an injury to Chatfield to bring Lemon in? - couldn't he have been a vet leader all thru TC and impact player from game 1 ?
It's valid to ask whether some different personnel decisions could have been made along the way. Hendrix's release is another that in retrospect seems weird. On the other hand, who knows if Lemon would have been as motivated if he'd been here all along. He seems to be playing with a huge chip on his shoulder, albeit one based not on anger but on sheer determination to show the entire league he's far from finished at 38. And the org deserves credit for pouncing on Bolden as soon as he came loose. IMO he's playing better than Priester would have if the latter had stayed healthy.
Quick would know both Lemon & Bolden (wayyyy better than Prieister could be at safety IMO) from the Als, and I bet Barker has had some dealings with Lemon before. A lot of CFL teams bring in their guys (players they know from another CFL team).
Be interesting to see the D-line look and rotation as the season goes on - when/if Chatfield & Ojo return? IMO it's best to go with a lot of rotation vs. 4 main favorite guys (this seems to vary thru all the CFL teams), unless you have a real dominant D-Lineman who stays on the field most of the time (not sure there is one in the CFL now - Betts or A-Berglund at DE maybe, or Stamps DT Hutchings) - so it can make sense to dress 8 D-linemen (4 DTs & 4 DEs) and give all of them reps. Holley, Hendrix, Toia & Shand at DT; Kongbo, Lemon, Chatfield & Ojo at DE. Could make one D-line spot a 7 only Canadian starter position by having one of the 3 on the field at all times; with Judge the 2nd on D; then you need just 5 on O.

Great time at the game last night.
Shout out to Mike Hogan.... great job on the All time Argo presentation.
I think the game day host are really good now... I think the one host is a former cheerleader... its awesome to keep this an ARGO thing.
I heard the alumni Cheerleaders got cancelled due to the rain. I think its kind of cool to see them out there... hope they can be re scheduled.
Offensive line played well... nice to see some run plays...
Thanks to all the CFL fans that came out and hung around.... great evening entertainment...
Go ARRGOS !!!!!

If it has a grass component, it has a dirt component. And yet no mud, no slipping and not even any noticeable divots. Sure, the technology helps, but grass doesn’t get this pristine without careful tending.
Actually these modern hybrid fields don’t use dirt, the grass grows on a deep layer of crushed stone, with an elaborate system of drainage pipes underneath. So no mud, no pooling, ever.

Persevered thru the delay and it was worth it. FINALLY we have a running game, the first time since 2024!
Ticats had more passing yards, but a lot of those came in last 3 min. garbage time.
One of the best efforts in 2026 by both the Argos D-line and the O-line.
Thanks Argos for a very entertaining evening of football.
We even got to hear the bands for U. Syracuse and Wake Forest play!

Possibly the most complete game of the season, coming off possibly the worst game of the season. Kelly benefited from a hard nosed power run attack provided by a couple rookies. Smith bowled over McManus in the 2nd half. Lots of blown coverages, which allowed Ford to put up a deceptive 350+ passing yards. Kiondre Smith, a fine young Receiver, is also the biggest Ass in the league. His arrogant "Fake Yawn" after he makes a catch is beyond infuriating to watch. I think he took 3 Procedure Calls...he also showed frustration as the game fell out of reach.
Shout out to Lemon, who again made an impact play with a FF.
Well, another of the unending Western Road Trip Saturday in Regina where this team seems to play well. Congrats to HC Mike Miller helping the team reach its total wins in 2025 after 10 games.

The field conditions were incredible. It was Gorilla Monsoon rain coming down. I saw no ponding, pooling of water anywhere, even on the artificial turf in the endzones. Don't recall anyone loosing their footing. The field was pristine green at the end. No mud or bare patches. Amazing.
Well said. I was surprised how good the field looked at the start of the game.

Loved the 24-3 second half beatdown and the professional response to last week's disappointment by the o-line. Their physical dominance over the Ticats D gave us an actual running game last night. Kelly was extremely efficient considering the weather. Only one interception, which was more great play by the DB than bad pass. Nice bounce back game by Coxie, and Kahmann has to be a serious rookie of the year candidate. D-line was great and Bolden was a beast again.
Hopefully we won't see another lightning delay any time soon.
The most enjoyable game I’ve attended in quite some time.
Argos have really improved the game day presentation this season!
Your assessment is dead on, great bounce back game from last weeks miserable showing.
I'm right once every few years.

Makes sense. The halftime was cut to 12 minutes
One complaint: the P.A. dude needs to stop asking the fans to make noise WHEN THE ARGOS ARE ON OFFENCE!!!

356 passing yards on almost 19 yards per completion almost never produces zero TD passes. The Tre Ford enigma continues.

Thanks for the correction, Rich, but there is also a layer of sand, correct? I don't see how grass (which it mostly is, as I understand it) could grow on just stone, but I'm certainly no scientist.

Tre Ford will go down as the QB that ends head coach careers. Lot's of pressure to play this talented Canadian QB but the losses build up and the HC gets sacked.

Pressure from who???
When Ford was first with the EE, that clown Chris Jones played a raw rookie American first over Ford; and Ford goes to Hamilton and Scotty M plays Dolegala as next up and then yanks Ford for a another raw rookie American.
Sorry, it's the other way around - the pressure on a CFL GOB who plays a Canadian at QB and then the guy is not an instant success (like a Davis Alexander say), and then the ridicule that could follow is a GOB big fear. That loser Scotty M (only CFL HC now with a career losing record) could play his boy Frosty all season and lose every game, and the standard CFL media response would be: "oh well, he's a young QB, give him some more time; and poor Scotty". IF Ford had a way under .500 record as a starter, or his career completion % was under 60% or he had thrown way more INTs than TDs, then all kinds of questions could be asked about why is he getting to play, but this is not the case. Standard GOB procedure says Canadians aren't fit to play QB in the CFL (unless they come from a US college ball starter resume) - and they will keep proving themselves right on that with basically zero evidence from the playing field. Ford may get some media attention cause of his passport and a few CFL fans pulling for him to do well, but the criticisms and harsh grading of his play are basically 10x what most young American QBs face here. Jake Maier in now about 20 games under .500 as a CFL starter in getting handed starts with 3 different CFL teams. Figure any Canadian QB would ever get that much rope? So "radically" Canadian CFL typical.
Still waiting for the answer to my question on how a superior mobile/ run threat QB in Tracy Ham fared as the starter in an Argo all-pass run & shoot offence ?
