I think Nicholas Adair would be a good draft pick

I watched Joey Zorn and Keanu Yazbeck in the OUA. Although Zorn has the better measurables, Yazbeck to me always looked more impressive. I wonder if that is just the superior blocking of the Western team?

Yazbeck ends up going 20 spots higher than Zorn - but Argos were good to get Zorn where they did IMO.

UBC's Knight going higher than both those guys, despite the slower 40 time and other lesser testing #s, was a bit of a surprise; but all 3 of those guys might end up viewed as more fullback types over ever getting real tailback work in the CFL.

Yaa it will be interesting to see which one of these running backs does best in the CFL.

My guess is that the Alouettes were familiar with Yazbeck performance as a DE in CEGEP and thought he would have good special
team skills. Western running backs have a history of playing well in U Sports but not making it at the professional level. I have
to assume that one of the reasons they do so well at U Sports level, is just the dominant blocking of overall Western team. I think
he will make the team as a special teams player, and as you suggest, an occasional pass catching fullback.

Knight is slow, and its possible that he doesn't make the CFL. If he does, its as you suggest, probably as a fullback.

Zorn might have the biggest upside. He is the best athlete. I wonder how he would have performed with Western type blocking instead of Windsor's blocking, He also was a walk on safety at Michigan State, so he probably has good defensive/ special team skills. I think he will make the Argos as a backup RB and special team player. Another good choice by the Argos.

Sean Thomas-Erlington was "slow" at his CFL Combine (slower than all 3 of those guys), yet when he has been given chance as a CFL tailback he has produced, period (close to a 6 yds/carry career average); meanwhile - a James Butler type has a horrible sub 5 yds/ carry career CFL average and keeps getting handed repeat CFL starting RB opportunities. Conclude what u wish there.

The GOB club just continues to show little respect for a lot of top U Sports players at certain positions; tailback is one, along with the blatant bias against Canadian trained QBs. All-Canadian receivers - Jordan & Wiebe - both fast and super production in U Sports ball - fell to the lower rounds of this CFL draft yesterday. Maybe they are too "small" or not good enough for the CFL, but that could be determined in a real CFL TC try-out; maybe both are close to another K. Gittens or Kiondre Smith type.

I hope all these guys make their respective teams.

I hope that Thomas Bertrand-Hudon gets more carries with the Riders this season.

I predict that Yazbeck will block a punt for the Alouettes this season.
