Kiondre Smith, a fine young Receiver, is also the biggest Ass in the league. His arrogant "Fake Yawn" after he makes a catch is beyond infuriating to watch. I think he took 3 Procedure Calls...he also showed frustration as the game fell out of reach.
Shout out to Lemon, who again made an impact play with a FF.
Well, another of the unending Western Road Trip Saturday in Regina where this team seems to play well. Congrats to HC Mike Miller helping the team reach its total wins in 2025 after 10 games.
What was his dad (Adrion) like as Argo? Before my time, caught him only in his last season, but I know he was a fan favourite. Was he big into celebrating?

When Ford was first with the EE, that clown Chris Jones played a raw rookie American first over Ford; and Ford goes to Hamilton and Scotty M plays Dolegala as next up and then yanks Ford for a another raw rookie American.
Sorry, it's the other way around - the pressure on a CFL GOB who plays a Canadian at QB and then the guy is not an instant success (like a Davis Alexander say), and then the ridicule that could follow is a GOB big fear. That loser Scotty M (only CFL HC now with a career losing record) could play his boy Frosty all season and lose every game, and the standard CFL media response would be: "oh well, he's a young QB, give him some more time; and poor Scotty". IF Ford had a way under .500 record as a starter, or his career completion % was under 60% or he had thrown way more INTs than TDs, then all kinds of questions could be asked about why is he getting to play, but this is not the case. Standard GOB procedure says Canadians aren't fit to play QB in the CFL (unless they come from a US college ball starter resume) - and they will keep proving themselves right on that with basically zero evidence from the playing field. Ford may get some media attention cause of his passport and a few CFL fans pulling for him to do well, but the criticisms and harsh grading of his play are basically 10x what most young American QBs face here. Jake Maier in now about 20 games under .500 as a CFL starter in getting handed starts with 3 different CFL teams. Figure any Canadian QB would ever get that much rope? So "radically" Canadian CFL typical.
Still waiting for the answer to my question on how a superior mobile/ run threat QB in Tracy Ham fared as the starter in an Argo all-pass run & shoot offence ?
WTF are you even whining about? Ford IS playing.

Try following the thread / conversation please. A poster above said there's "lots of pressure to play" Ford.
My response was - from just who? And why is there evidence of both HCs Chris Jones & Scotty M turning to other QBs (including raw rookie Americans with zero experience playing Canadian ball) as next up before Ford, if they were under this big pressure to play Ford ? And how come Jake Maier is not ridiculed and deemed "not good enough" when he has lost way more games and has a way lower win % as a starting QB vs. Ford?

He was not flamboyant like Kiondre; did no more celebrating than anyone else (and celebrations were muted back then).

IMO there's a touch or irony here. Alexander did not start a game until his third season, and no one was calling for him to start. Tons of fans were calling for Ford to start during his first season, and the calls got louder during his second year, when he did start several games. Bottom line is he got a chance to play sooner than Alexander.

You mean the Alexander who was playing on a winning team behind a veteran QB;; vs. Ford playing on a total $hite losing team who needed to try something else ?
The real bottom line here is: tons of American QBs get chances to play in the CFL (from good young ones like Alexander, thru lots & lots of total stiffs), and next to no Canadian trained QBs ever get a chance to play in the CFL, let alone make a roster for a chance to learn & develop (like Alexander got).
"tons of fans were calling for Ford to start" ??? - who? - a couple of guys on 3 Down or maybe Glen Suitor mentioned it once? Ford faces mostly ridicule from the typical usual suspects i hear from on some CFL "fan" forums.

I miss those old days, today’s excessive show boating is quite nauseating.

In 2022, Chris Jones replaced Arbuckle with Tre Ford after the Elks went 0-3. This was Tre Ford's first year after being drafted by Edmonton. Edmonton won the first game he started. In the next game against Calgary, Tre broke his collar bone in the first quarter.
In the following years, Ford was inexplicably bumped by Cornelius, Doege and MBT.
While I agree that Canadian players, particularly QB's, can be often overlooked in favour of Americans, Ford did receive a shot very early in his career, it's just bad luck that an injury derailed his opportunity.

I want Centres to celebrate every good Shotgun snap....every lineman to celebrate a block....nauseating to say the least.

I agree. Not every first down needs to be celebrated like it was the greatest first down in history. I honestly can't remember exactly when receivers celebrating first downs became a thing.
