A couple of guys cut by the useless Ticats doesn't really inspire me, but maybe they're happy. And again, great signing of Adeleke for good ole "Canadian depth".
What do you really think Adeleke is at this stage of his career coming off injury? He lost his spot in Hamilton already, you really expect him to start somewhere? Every time he played anywhere in the secondary othet than safety, he wasn’t very good. Of course you won’t believe that, but it’s true.
Stick to your own version of "true"; hilarious that some on these football forums can't grasp the difference between 'truth" and opinion.
Adeleke is a veteran proven D play-maker in this league; he's played S-OLB (at first some with the Stamps), mostly safety but also all other secondary positions. Maybe he's old, washed-up and injury damaged. I'll take a versatile, smart, fast veteran who knows the Canadian game over weak, inexperienced, still learning the game, rookie Americans (unless it's a Stiggers level athlete/talent) 7 days of the week. GOBs think differently though. The number of rookie or mediocre or lost American DBs ( most of the RedBlacks & Elks secondary or Marcus Sayles types and about 15 other currents I could name) who get recycled and chance after chance in this league is telling. Same old CFL $hite though.
thats funny. when i think of recycled players, adeleke is pretty high up that list. bless this passport

Adeleke was signed as a FA by the Argos; unlike some other D players around the league - totally raw rookies with zip experience in Canadian ball or cuts from other teams, that get handed starting gigs, and continue to get playing time when they $uck - bless their passports though.

I wonder if we will see the Argos signing any players who were either released from an NFL team or failed to get signed by an NFL team, in the near future? Presently the team has only 8 players on the Practice Roster. The maximum number of Americans on the P. R. can be increased after the NFL cutdown so we might see some signings over the next couple of weeks.

The NFL cutdown day isn't the big deal that it used to be, as so many of the cuts now wait it out for another NFL chance; however, there will likely be a few additions to the PR in the upcoming weeks even though it will likely be more about taking a look at these players for next year than anything else.

This can be a valuable opportunity to bring in players for evaluation for next season and to expose them to the team’s culture. A great example of this is Benjie Franklin who after a rough start, has emerged as a solid corner IMO.

I suspect Murphy and his extensive front office staff (kidding) are working on bringing in PR depth and that signings are imminent.

I see on the CFL transactions page that John Daka, who has been on the suspended list all season, has been deleted, although his status is listed as being on the Game Roster. I wonder if the DEL was a mistake and he was truly added to the game roster. Also, Tyson Hergott was placed on the practice roster. Is simply more nonsense from the league office? We shall see.

CFL's transactions list often makes little sense to us laypeople. I suspect the only way Daka could be deleted would be to briefly place him on the active list. Hergott's demotion to PR would suggest that a NAT is coming off the injured list this week -- perhaps Brissett?

The fact that Brissett was a full participant in practice may explain this. If Hergott was demoted to the practice roster then his position may have to be replaced, perhaps by Daka. We'll see if Brinkman also comes off of the injured list this week, maybe to replace Ceresna, who has a shoulder injury.
Maybe some of these questions can be answered by those who have attended practice lately.

My guess with Hergott is because Thiadric Hansen is likely returning this week.
