I'd throw in StFX's Silas Fagnan on that list too - multi year starter for a winning team.
ALL of these QBs are IMO legit CFL TC shot guys for any CFL team in need of QB competition (pretty well all of them, every year) - in a CFL where DIV III or NAIA American QBs get legit looks, cause they have the right passport.
A CFL team may draft Kurtis Rourke - having a very good Div I season - and hope he does not pan out for the NFL.
I highly doubt any of the U Sports QBs get drafted - unless one of them runs a 4.4 range forty like Tre Ford did.
You realize there is another CFL fan forum, where if you brought up this topic and information, you would get laughed right out of town, with WTF / who? responses ?

CFL GMs would do well to give these QBs a chance. In my mind the talent level of most of these players can be developed if they are the third string QBs on a CFL roster. They are good enough to develop their play to become potential starters in the CFL given the right environments. They are just as good or better than recruiting lower tier conference American QBs.

I would bet no, but could be wrong. Dinos' Adam Sinagra not getting CFL drafted, at all, after being on the CFL Scouting Bureau's top 20 Prospects list, a few years back, speaks volumes on the GOB mind-set on this matter - what was the excuse there ?
Where are any of these U Sports QBs on the initial CFL Scouting Bureau top 20 list for next draft ? What's the excuse there ?
Elgersma is a big pro plus size QB putting up good passing stats = should get him a look; but Senecal for the Carabins has done more - winning a Vanier & Hec, and without all-star receivers or RBs to help him; plus he is a very mobile dual threat QB and was recruited to Div I ball in the US before coming back to Canada - not sure that is enough for CFL "scouts" though.
Desjardins and Tachinski are also big size QBs with some run ability.
We shall see come next CFL draft and TCs.
Re: Canadian Quarterbacks in the 2025 CFL Draft
Teams in the past have shown they are reluctant to draft Canadian QBs but it is quite possible that Elgersma may overcome that reluctance. He is big and strong and has an arm that is as good as some backup QBs already in the league. Personally I'd would find it a shame if he is not drafted.

Re: Canadian Quarterbacks in the 2025 CFL Draft
Caught the 4th quarter of the Laval / Carabins game yesterday = a superb finish to a battle of the 2 heated Q rivals. As good or better than any quarter of CFL ball this year, IMO.
Both QBs - Senecal & Dejsardins - were outstanding and aided by some fantastic grabs by young receivers.
These 2 QBs are easily CFL calibre in terms of arm strength/accuracy and mobility (both better run threats than a number of CFL starters).
Only seen Elgersma play in the OUA play-off last season, so seen a lot of more of those 2 Q QBs, but IMO they are both better all around QB talents; we shall see with the upcoming play-offs and Vanier.

Just bizarre scenario where Montreal could have returned a late missed FG to win the game by one point, but conceded to play for over-time = because a one point win would put them behind Laval in the season series after Laval won the first meeting by 3; Carabins ended up winning by one point anyways in the OT, so Laval will get home-field if they end up tied at the end of the regular season.

Re: Canadian Quarterbacks in the 2025 CFL Draft
The Canadian QB talent pool in Canada & the US has never been deeper. CFL GMs need to draft these players and or sign them and bring them into camps next year. Diamonds will be found.
And I still believe the CFL should allow each team to remove one Canadian players salary off of the team cap.
