This article is about how bad things have gotten in Calgary but what also comes through is about how MLSE has been providing necessary resources to the Argos:

Say what you want about MLSE but they have given Argos management all the resources needed for success.
Judging by the players comments they also seem to treat the players very well which also speaks to the culture created by Pinball, Ryan Dinwiddie and the coaching staff.
All in all this bodes well for the Argonauts ability to recruit players via free agency.

”The times they are a changing.”

Maybe the Argos will be receiving a better grade from the CFLPA than anticipated.

They have. Maybe when it comes to off the field its been a matter of the old President not having the time, inclination to grow a fanbase. Had there been a business plan and resources asked for MLSE would have been responsive. It's imperative the Argos have their own President.

I don’t think this franchise report card will make much difference with the players.
I’m sure word already travels freely amongst the players in regards to how franchises operate and treat their players especially considering the amount of player movement around the league.

You're probably right, but I am still curious to see what the 'PA comes up with.
The league is indeed small enough that there would be plenty of word of mouth.

The only negative that the team might receive is that they often have to move practice which requires a bit of a bus ride. Depending on traffic, could be an hour and a half or so extra added to their work day as a result.

Do you know if that actually adds time to their work day? I would have thought it reduces time on the practice field, with travel time being counted as part of the time they are required to be on duty.

I believe Lamport Stadium practises are preferred. Worst case scenario is they can walk under the Go train tracks.
