It's been decided, and IMO it is the worst possible way to deal with the World Cup. Argo "home" games in Hamilton, Wpg and Regina. Mark down three early-season losses now.

Does this mean they only get 6 home games at BMO FIELD next year? Why not just have those games as away games....essentially play first 3 or 4 or 5 games on road and back end load your home games. Am I missing something? It's not like the Argos haven't had brutal schedules in the past.

It’s bad, but mark down 3 early season losses? Starting the negativity towards the team a little early there Paul. I guess that’s the new Paul.

I'd be fine with back-loading the home schedule. We've done four straight road games before. Not the worst thing for team-building to do that early in the season. How about one Argo home game in Hamilton (NOT vs the Ticats) or the Maritimes? They can also schedule two bye weeks for the Argos and Lions during the World Cup to give the teams a break from the travel.

League better revisit this. Losing three home games is unacceptable.

Overly negative, I'll concede. But even if the Argos were a powerhouse, it would be very difficult to win twice in those three stadiums, no?

The Hamilton "home" game will be included in Argo season tickets, and can be exchanged for a BMO game. So the season package will include six at BMO, one in Ham and a potential playoff game. Total of eight games.

Depends on whether Chad Kelly is playing or not.

In 2015 the Argos were on the road for a few "home" games as well (Ft. McMurray and Hamilton) and did okay but this proposal is a worse situation than that. "Home" games in Winnipeg and Regina? If those are not against the Bombers and Riders that would be better but how many fans could you expect to show up in those cities if they are not? Argos get severely mistreated once again and it becomes that much harder for the coaches and players to navigate the nonsense.

The 2015 Argos were 9-5 and in the race for 1st in the East prior to having to play two "home" games in Hamilton in which they both lost badly. This allowed Ottawa and Hamilton to finish 1 and 2 respectively, and the Argos had to travel to Hamilton for the east semi, which they lost.

A "home" game in the stadium of the opposing team is not a home game, period. I hope there is a massive fan revolt over this, but even if there is, MLSE won't change its mind.
