As if things couldn't get worse for the Argonauts.

I hope this isn't a matter of MLSE won't appoint a President, which would move Pinball to that position and allow Dinwiddie to say as Coach/GM.

There's no way this should have happened. I hate Rogers so much.

Holy $#!t!!
Unbelievable. I thought he essentially had that role here in terms of pay and responsibility, just without official title.
Very disappointing. For what the team is facing next year in terms of competitive balance in playing only 6 games, coaching was not an area of weakness, so I thought.
Would anyone be disappointed about going after Mike O'Shea? Or bring back Marc Trestman.

So when Ottawa called on Monday requesting permission of the Argos to talk with Ryan. Why wouldn't Pelley & Pinball ask Dinwiddie what he needs to stay part of the Argos long term?
What he has accomplished here since arriving is elite. He deserves to be paid, titled, whatever. And Rogers/MLSE should have had no issue with it. He was the most successful coach/GM in their system and paid a fraction of everyone else in the empire.

I completely agree with this. 👆

I’d bet my house that Mike O’Shea is finally coming home to be head coach of the Argonauts, and as much as I like and respect RD, I will be completely on board with Osh. Go Argos!

My first thought as well Rich.

Dinwiddie had a great run with the Argos for sure but I’m not a big fan of the dual HC/GM role.
I’m sure he is being well compensated by Ottawa and maybe wanted a change of scenery but you wonder what’s going on with the Argonaut organization behind the scenes.
A mass exodus of free agents the last two off seasons now Dinwwiddie moving on is certainly troubling and indeed makes you wonder?
Big question who do they hire and what will the coaching staff look like next season, as soon as I heard this Mike O’Shea returning to the Argos came to mind (agreed Rich) but who knows.

From some of the rumors I've been hearing for quite a while (more than a year), I think it's entirely possible that he tried to engineer himself into being fully in charge here. Trying to stage a coup against Pinball (if that's what happened) would be a very dumb move. Good luck to him -- IMO it's very foolish for one person to try to be both head coach and GM (and OC, I suppose).

O'Shea is obviously a possibility but don't sleep on Orlondo Steinauer.
