It sounds like he’s gonna be more than a part-time consultant. It sounds like he’s the new de facto Team President:

“John will mentor both the Head Coach and General Manager in his role as Senior Advisor, representing the team in league meetings, preparing for the combine, draft, pre-game preparations, post-game analysis and any additional needs that a football season might require.”

That sounds to me like he’s overseeing just about everything, which is exciting IMO as long as he still has the juice. But it doesn’t really make any sense if Pinball is still the “GM” does it? Huff worked successfully with Murphy before.

Maybe this means Pinball will be moving on to a higher level in the MLSE crime family

Is this the title John Murphy has also? On the Argo website they have updated both Miller and Hufnagel, but Murphy's name is not listed. Is he still with the team?

Murphy has been off the website a lot since the incident after the Eastern Final. As far as I know, he was not around the team at all in 2022, and when he returned in 2023, no announcement was made.

That's weird. Murphy was just there a day or two ago.

Sounds to me as if someone above Pinball (looking at you, Pelley) has decided a better front-office structure was required. I'm not a huge fan of Barker, but he appears to have better relationships around the league than Murphy does/did, for whatever that is worth.

Looks like it is true--Murphy is out. That helps explain the last couple of Admin moves.
