Three consecutive games in western time zones: June 26 Sask ("home" game), July 2 Cal, July 10 Wpg ("home" game).

At least the game in Vancouver is at 7 ET.

One CNE game (Aug. 22, 7p).

We knew it would be brutal. 7 games on road. The previous pro football road pain record was 4 road games in row. To....The Toronto Argonauts twice that happened to them, and by 2 other teams in the past all in CFL.

With a healthy Chad Kelly all season I predict the Argos will host a playoff game.

There is only one stretch where they have less than 6 days off between games.
Labour Day in Hamilton followed by at home to Ottawa Saturday September 12. What makes it worse is Ottawa is coming off a bye week and its the only time Dinwiddie is back in Toronto in regular season.

It seems the Argos must suffer from some kind of setback or disadvantage every season.

This seems like less of a setback than losing the franchise QB for 9 games due to woke mob justice, or losing the franchise QB for a whole season due to a broken leg.

Team is in great shape if you ask me.

Which we'll have already paid for, along with a "home" game in Hamilton where I can just about guarantee ticket distribution for Argo STHs is going to be a shit show. Good luck getting equivalent seats if this is also sold to Ticats fans as part of their ST package.

This, by any objective measure, has to be the worst schedule in pro football history. At least, we knew in advance.

Keith Pelley tried using the excuse that stadiums like Guelph's aren't good enough for TV. I am not sure what has changed since 2013-14 when the Ticats played there and TSN broadcast the dozen or so games played in that stadium. I can't imagine that Kelowna's stadium, where the BC Lions will play two home games, is any better.

Shouldn’t they be offering travel packages and/or major ticket discounts for fans who want to attend the “home” games in Winnipeg and Saskatchewan?

Whatever rationale Pelley offered up for public consumption, there is zero doubt this decision was motivated purely by financial considerations. Argos will undoubtedly receive more money from the three clubs they sold the games to than they would from playing them at Guelph, and possibly more than they would from playing them at BMO. Even factoring in additional travel costs, there is no chance the club doesn't come out ahead financially. That obviously matters more to MLSE than how the team, or its fans, are affected.

We now know, by the way, that the three "home" games are being sold as part of the season-ticket packages in Wpg, Sask and Ham. That is, their fans are being asked to pay for 10 games, not nine. Chances are those teams will harvest more revenue from doing it this way than they paid MLSE for the games, so a win-win, right!?

Money is all that matters for MLSE.
