Some much needed youth added to the Argos coaching staff.
Alouettes D pretty good the last few seasons to which Quick was part of that.
Hopefully some talented players added to make his job easier.

Riders were 3 & 15 the season Quick was their DC; hopefully, he has learned lots since then; right kind of CFL resume, for some.

Is Sankey genuinely better than, or as good as, McManis? Cheaper? More durable, perhaps?

Sankey is a very good LB but McManis is as good as they come, perhaps a case of the new DC bringing in a player he knows very well.
May or may not happen but food for thought.

McManis is the far superior LB , IMO.
Sankey had some good CFL seasons and seemed more of an old school bigger MLB suited to stop the run; but he looked weak against the run some last year IMO. Have no idea about CFL salaries mostly, but an older guy cut from his team would not likely fetch big buck$?
An old D coach bringing one of his guys to his new team is often par for the course; no thanks to this recycling project though, IMO

Not a good average age of staff members if you consider 69 young.
