Saskatchewan had placed Trevor Harris on the six game injured list. Harris is dealing with a pretty moderate MCL (sprain) so is expected to be out for 4 - 6 weeks. Kind of feel badly for Harris as he worked so hard to come back from the injury last season and was looking very sharp in the 3 games he has played. So Shea Patterson will assume starting quarterback duties and get his first career CFL start as Saskatchewan hosts the Toronto Argonauts on Thursday night.

The Argos defence will likely see a lot of AJ Ouellette that night.

I see the Roughriders signed American quarterback Eric Barriere. He had an outstanding career at Eastern Washington Univ. He appeared in 51 games throwing for 13,809 yards, 121 touchdowns against 29 interceptions while adding 22 rushing TDs and 1,585 yards along the ground and is their all time leader in many categories.

He spent training camp with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and tried out in the past for the Denver Broncos in 2022 (he was undrafted) and spent time with the USFL’s Michigan Panthers (2022) and the New Jersey Generals (2023).

I am not sure why he previously did not catch on with a team, and he hasn’t been with the Roughriders very long so we likely won’t see him barring injuries.

Saskatchewan has to start their #2 QB for an extended period of time and are now relying on 3 US spring league castoffs. Too bad. Expect AJO to be the focal point of the passing attack coming out of the backfield. Eiben who is sporting a " Jesse Pinkman" look this season is going to send the house repeatedly...." Because it's Double Blue B...ch"

As a former podcast host I cannot and will not condone any actions of that type on the football field. This isn't Oshawa.
