It appears that former CFL starting QB Will Arndt has won the starting job for the San Antonio (Texas) Toros.

He is still playing? He was an assistant coach for a year with Ottawa before going back to the playing ranks a few years ago.

He is still playing? He was an assistant coach for a year with Ottawa before going back to the playing ranks a few years ago.
Well he lead the Toros to a 71-0 blowout over a semi pro team from Tennessee in a pre season game yesterday so he hasn't skipped a beat.

3 teams, the Michigan Arrows, Indianapolis Capitols & Fort Worth (Texas) Braves have suspended operations & will not be participating in the 2026 COFL season. Former CFL HC Mike Kelly who is Commissioner, has some work to do.

QB WILL Arndt threw for 422 yards & 3 TDs while rushing for another 36 yards in a victory over the weekend. Former CFL R Cam Echols Luper had 173 yards recieving & 2 TDs.

I think Kelly is safe. Arndt will no doubt be in the conversation if Quebec gets a team. He did not throw any interceptions.

I think Kelly is safe. Arndt will no doubt be in the conversation if Quebec gets a team. He did not throw any interceptions.
If a new Quebec team brough in a stiff like Arndt and had a GOB in charge hand him the starting job, when there are far superior QBs playing all thru the Province in U Sports ball and football fans there know this, I doubt that team is going to have much fan support there. But hey, maybe they would bring in Bryan Scott & Cam Dukes for their QB "competition" ?

And they can play some Waylon Jennings for the francophone fans between plays. Will Arndt barely got to hold a clipboard for bad Ottawa teams. Clearly there are some subpar athletes playing in the Continental Football League or CFL for short for him to put up those type of stats.
