A nicer evening than last Saturday. They'll want to give Kelly more reps, I think.

Indeed! Full Quarters for Kelly & Arbuckle, projected starters, second string who are 100% healthy. Second half for Horn & Guercio and remainder of roster for final looks.

Arbuckle had a really bad game last week. All he did was run forward into tackles. I love the guy and I know the weather was awful, but if he has another game like that on Friday, I would argue that his spot at number 2 should be in jeopardy.

I don’t see Arbuckle being demoted or released. As healthy as Kelly seems to be, there has to be some worry about how his leg will hold up, and I can't imagine the brass will be willing to entrust the No. 2 job to someone who has never or barely set foot on the field.

If Arbuckle continues to be outperformed by Horn and Guercio, they will absolutely demote him. I suspect Arbuckle will have a much shorter leash than last year, because we already know he won't lead the team to the playoffs if Kelly goes down.

The notion that Arbuckle was to blame for missing the playoffs last year seems rather fanciful. So does the idea that two guys who looked OK for a quarter each against 3rd- and 4th-stringers are outperforming the guy who won a Grey Cup 18 months ago. But we'll see, won't we?

Arbuckle threw for 4,500 yards last year. He was not the reason they didn't make the playoffs. He is the back up, and probably the best back up in the league. Hes a GC champion. Let's see how he does this week.

I'm not saying he was the sole reason the Argos missed the playoffs, but has he ever led a team to the playoffs?

I started my post with the word "If."

I hope I am wrong but we will see. If he continues to not play as well as the other QB's, then yes it's obvious like any team, the Argos will move on to another QB. That's kind of how football works. You don't go with your worst QB.

Neither of them is outperforming Arbuckle or is a threat to the #2 job.

Not only did Arbuckle lead the team to a win in the Grey Cup but he was awarded the Most Valuable Player for the game. I suspect with that background he is pretty safe as the team's number 2 QB.
