Dustin Nielson reports:
Very intrigued for the Elks press conference on Thursday introducing Larry Thompson as the new owner.
I’ve heard there will be a desire to rebrand over the next 1-2 years to Esks or back to Eskimos.
I can see the Commissioner’s office having a say on this one.

Think focus as well needs to be season ticket holders and previous season ticket holders.
Edmonton used to sell cheap tickets for the labour day rematch. Used to fill most of the stadium. Get young people out on a friday night. I always thought that was a good idea.
Hopefully Edmonton can stay in the mix this season....start to get some people back.

If this was Toronto, Leafs would move their press conference to Thursday to announce Matthews as the new captain

It looks like the large company that publicly threatened to pull their sponsorship if Edmonton didn't change their name pulled their sponsorship of the team anyway. They are not listed at as one of the team's corporate partners.
