It's going to be a slog. Forecast doesn't look great.

Brown relies on, and has been pretty good at, mostly short or intermediate routes and he did spread the ball around pretty well to a veteran receiver group (now minus 2 starters or 3 if u include rookie phenom Pimpleton); they almost never try real deep shots. IMO they need to blitz the hell out of Brown early, with press coverage in behind; the Ottawa O-line gives up lots of pressures; and their run game is mostly a first down affair, and new back Morrow could be good with fresh legs, or be confused and hesitant in his new offence. And no Dedmon to worry about is huge IMO.primetime321 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:40 pm In addition to their banged up receivers, it appears that Bryce Carter and Devonte Dedmon will be out for this weekend's game and they also released Ryquell Armstead who was impressive at times this season. With Dedmon and Armstead out of the picture, Jamal Morrow may be replacing both on returns and in the backfield.
Since this is the case, I hope that the Argos secondary plays much more aggressively like they did against Saskatchewan in Quarters 2-4. Allowing Dru Brown a zone defense will be trouble for the Argos D.
For sure a winnable game but no Argo victory seems easy.OV Argo wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2024 7:53 pmBrown relies on, and has been pretty good at, mostly short or intermediate routes and he did spread the ball around pretty well to a veteran receiver group (now minus 2 starters or 3 if u include rookie phenom Pimpleton); they almost never try real deep shots. Argos talent & coaching wise should be able to beat this Ottawa team easily IMO - even with both teams at 100% starters. This Argo team is still missing some guys with injury too, but this is a very win-able game.
