Our Purolator Tackle Hunger game this year is - Saturday, October 19th.
Is a Saturday game against Ottawa.

Haven't seen any thing from club but I think this is really a CFL / Fan event.

Per the DailyBread Web site I think they are after stuff like Canned Vegetables, Nut Butter, Canned Fish, Canned Tomatoes and Canned Fruit... as well as Oatmeal.

Think I have seen the CEO of Daily Bread at multiple ARGO games. Would be nice if we could make this a premier event for the Food bank.

The event is run by a tiny group of volunteers.

Please consider to give if your able ... Will try to post details here if I see any.

Definitely less and less communication about Purolator Tackle Hunger. Maybe they Could pick some CFL person for some TV spots ...someone to carry the torch.

Just the same this is the kind of event that sets our league apart from the other U.S. corporate leagues / teams in our city IMO.

Hope every one will try to help out in memory of Chris.... and to send a message ... always thought this was kind of a cool CFL FAN event.

Go ARGOS.

Great Article by Mike as always

https://www.argonauts.ca/2024/10/15/hog ... -lives-on/

"“He’s more than a name, more than a football player, more than a broadcaster,” said Monica Schultz. “He was an incredible human being, and Purolator Tackle Hunger is a reflection of that part of him. Chris was a very complex human being. His athletic legacy has been cemented, his broadcasting career has been cemented, and with what Purolator tackle Hunger is continuing to do, we’re now getting his heart cemented.”

"This Saturday the Argos will hold their Purolator Tackle Hunger Game at BMO Field. You can donate non-perishable food items, which will be collected outside each gate. You’ll also be able to make a donation in cash or via credit card."

Shout out to Purlolator for sponsoring this event and to all the volunteers ....Also to Mike Hogan for his help to get the word out.... and to everyone who donated.

Not a lot of communication about this event going as far back as the David Braley Days...Hope we can Pull together going forward and make this a premiere event for the food bank... keep the momentum going and send a message about the CFL fans in the city...

This is an important CFL tradition.... and a great cause... Also nice to honor Chris Schultz.

Thanks everyone...Go ARRGOS!!!

I'm not sure how prominent Tackle Hunger is now and that goes for across the league, unfortunately.
