My error then. Maybe it was not you pushing the Heath is over-rated narrative after all. I've been kinda amazed by that angle on this board. I attribute it to the Drew Willy trade and considered it a rather biased theory. I still certainly believe that if you think that he's around the same level of player (or just a little better) than AK, then both you and I will be pretty happy with Heath and our Secondary in 2018.
And I am not disparaging Akwasi Ansah; although it sounds like you may beg to differ, I still wouldn't mind seeing him and Darby go at it in TC for the spot on the corner opposite Ronnie Yell.
My only lingering concern, including MLB and DE, is who will coach this Defense.
Hustle hit and never quit
I'll admit it. I think Heath is overrated. I hope he proves me wrong. His overall level of play is skewed by the number of picks he gets. I believe he had 4 picks in the fist 5 games last year, and only 1 the rest of the season. He was also part of a secondary that routinely gave up 400 passing yards last season. Never said he's terrible, but IMO, not nearly as good as many think he is. Obviously the Bombers felt the same way as it looks like he was not a priority re-signing on their part.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I agree that his interceptions skew perceptions of Heath. Bombers had one of the most porous pass defences in the league, although many contributed to that problem. He reminds of Byron Parker who set a record for most interceptions returned for TDs, but was not a great cover guy.
My perception of Heath is based mostly on his 10 or 12 games with us in 2016, when he struck me as a boom-or-bust kind of guy -- either make a huge play or get burned. I didn't watch him as closely last year so I don't know if that perception is still (or was ever) correct. Regardless, he's ours (again) and I would love to have him prove he's as good as some people (here and elsewhere) think he is.

Don't know about you guys but I'm enjoying this February a helluva lot more than last February.

Where do they find room for both? Surprised they signed both. I thought Woods was going elsewhere.
Wow!
I thought the Argos would be fine at LB without signing any free agents but Popp isn’t fooling around!
Agree with Bleeds Double Blue, thrilled with February 2018 vs February 2017!!

Stoked that Woods is back! I really like that guy and think he contributes lots on the field but also seems to be a strong leader in the locker room as well.
If they are, expect to see 1 of 2 of them on the IR for a good part of the season. I don't see Plummer coming out of the line-up, and Bass likely the depth behind him. With an American kicker this year, doubtful Bass will be in the line-up as a STer and back up. I think it's going to be a battle with Woods and Reed. Reed being 5 years younger, if he has a good camp, I can honestly see Woods being released. I can't see any of those guys accepting a practice roster position.

I'm not surprised that we extended *offers* to both, but unless those were really lowball offers I don't see how it makes financial sense to keep both. As Angelo just said, I suspect that the guy with the second-best camp will be released. They are both on one-year contracts, so Reed's youth may not matter much.
