Interesting. Young has paid his dues. I'm pleasantly surprised by this move. Personally, I see Jackson as more of an Offensive assistant/QB coach. I think that Dinwiddie will be the main OC. A little surprised and disappointed it wasn't Jonathan Crompton. The offense was much better when he joined the club last year. Nelson is an experienced coach and I think he'll do a fine job on ST's.
It's us vs the rest of the country
I suspect that there still may be room for Jonathan Crompton as QB Coach. Dinwiddie seemed to be high on the work the two did in the past with the Als.
I could see Kevin Eiben return to work with another former Argo in Glenn Young and with the BC connection, would Jarious Jackson want to bring back Dan Darazio?
Not sure about DB Coach, they've had so much trouble there over the past several seasons, but would Jordan Younger want to come home?
What about DeVone Claybrooks as a D.Line Coach?
Just throwing names at the wall.
Hustle hit and never quit
I like those ideas, Gonzo. I'd especially like Dorazio to return. Even tho the o-line was not great (and at times quite awful) in 2019, I think some of that is personnel and some of that is scheme outside Dorazio"s control. Having read Angus Reid's book about Dorazio, I came away very impressed with him as a human and a coach.

Love these signings if true. Young was a total pro as a player, an impressive guy. I'm a little less enthused about Jarious, but wasn't he sort of a mentor to Collaros during the 2012 season?
No issue with the Young or Nelson hires, but to put it mildly, I'm not big on Jackson as a coach (yet another Milanovich offensive disciple).
As you know we disagree on Milanovich, but as I said, I think this will be Dinwiddie's offence and not Jackson's. Hopefully Jackson will coach his players to excel in that system, and perhaps learn some things to add to his own knowledge. Good coaches learn from other good coaches.

From the 2019 staff, agree with those hoping we keep Dorazio as OL coach, Crompton maybe as an offensive assistant and and Eiben on the defence and/or special teams. Thought Brackenridge didn't do terrible, but if we are looking for a change, wouldn't mind Adrion Smith who lives in the GTA. Not sure if Younger would leave Winnipeg. Also, Marcello Simmons is an ex Argo with coaching experience that should have some consideration to be on the staff.
Also, wonder if there were any conversations with Damon Allen since he had said in an interview that he wanted to get into coaching.
Secondary overall was horrific. Not sure if that was personnel or coaching, but you can't bring Brackenridge back after back to back years of the worst secondary in the league. Not big on Smith as he has been out of the game to long for me. I wonder if Matt Black would have any interest in switching from his scouting role into a coaching role. I'd be good with Simmons too.

Makes sense on the back to back bad secondaries. Matt Black would be interesting to consider as a coach, wonder if he is looking to continue down the management path instead of the coaching one?
Anyone else find it more and more surprising that we still don't have the coaching staff announced yet? Considering the free agency negotiation window starts on Sunday, would think that they would want to have an idea of what players would potentially fit a scheme/plan that the coaches have in mind.
I'd be willing to bet that most if not all of the coaches are on board altho they obviously haven't been announced publicly, for whatever reason. There seems little doubt they will be using their (as-yet-unannounced) coordinators, at least, as part of their marketing pitches to free agents.

Argos finalize coaching staff

Lots of experience there. I think McAdoo was always better suited as an o-line coach than a coordinator. It's good to see Eiben retained.

Three guys working special teams? Maybe we'll finally be able to run a trick play or two.
