I'd love to know how the job description of a Secondary Coach differs from a Defensive Backs Coach.

Coach Bell will deal exclusively with the DBs. Coach Eiben will work with the LBs. Coach Fields will look at the entire back end. With Coach Mace also coaching DL it gives an extra set of eyes to look at the big picture in the secondary. Hope that helps.
Great to see Bell coming back, and all the experience on the staff. Looking forward to seeing how the new group gels.

Lots of Calgary flavour here. Given their success over the years, I think that's a good thing. Can't wait for Feb 8 FA period now.
It's us vs the rest of the country
In my mind haven't addressed the biggest issue being the requirement to hire and let the OC design and call his own plays without the interference of the HC.
Just like most teams.
The similar Trestman experiment example was ultimately a bust.
I cannot believe with the problems of last year and which was exposed in the final, that Dinwiddie would hold onto same?
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
I get that, but with the disastrous results you would think this would have been a priority to distance himself from the awful play calling and hire an OC.
He is stubborn and the plays have been vanilla at best.
Heck even Damon Allen would have been likely a good choice.
"Disastrous results" would be something like, I don't know, back-to-back four-win seasons? A first-place finish and losing a winnable game to get to the Grey Cup does not qualify, IMO. Dinwiddie could, and IMO should, have gone for it on third down twice near the goal-line, and could, and IMO should, have sent in a couple of better play calls before settling for FGs. But I'm sorry, he was not a disastrous OC and it is a wee bit much to be calling for him to lose the OC role on the evidence of 2021.

We have previously discussed how multitasking was not his best attribute as there were many occasions of poor or no coaches challenges made.
While at BMO, there were also instances when looking at the HC during his play calling how the QB was called for time violations.
Now that could be on MBT or the HC, but it clearly paints a picture of being unprepared.
Not only during the Final, but other occasions involving poor time clock decisions like the two wins which should have been losses with BC and the RB, save and except for their poor FG kickers.
We had an OC last year in name only, whether you like or dislike Jarius, but he left at the end of the year under unknown circumstances?
I was not the only one here to call for Dinwiddie to be replaced, however at worst to divest of the play calling and hire a capable OC, yes even a Jeff Reinebold who was available.
Looks like we are not going to get either possibility, which hopefully will not translate in another "disastrous season".
Which for me is disastrous in light of what could have been.....especially when you lose the last game of the year in the manner mentioned.
Wow. Check a dictionary and find out what "disastrous" means. A 9-5 football team that loses to what many predicted to be the front runner to win the Grey Cup (and at the very least overwhelming favourites to once again rep the east in that game) at the beginning of the season is not disastrous.

I'll agree to disagree with argotom on this one.

According to his bio, 64 year-old Jeff Reinebold has never been an offensive coordinator in his long coaching career. Just putting that out there.
