Real simple answer provided by how shit and inconsistent this team has been at home this year. A lot of them watch on TV and decide this team isn't worth paying to see play live. I'm starting to think they're right.
The other teams fans at least see their team play very well at home and win most times.....very simple.
I travel a fair distance to attend Argo games.
I have shelled out $1800 for my 2 seats add Go train tickets for me and my son, food and drink at the game then factor the on field product currently being offered and you really wonder if it is worth it sometimes.
If the current on field trend continues until seasons end then I would expect the new ownership group to make sweeping changes and put their people in place.
I have been a supporter of both Milanovich and Barker all along but the on field product is lacking at this point.
I skipped yesterday's game and gave my seats to a friend who was attending his first Argo game with his wife.......wonder what they think of the CFL and Argonauts after that shit show???

Which other teams in this league this year are winning the majority of their home games? There is Calgary and ...? Ottawa was blown out at home by freaking Montreal the other night worse than the Argos got it from Edmonton yesterday. Hamilton was blown out by B.C. earlier in the season at home. Yes, the Argos are not playing well and there is lots of reason for concern but nobody in the east right now is looking significantly better - and Hamilton beating the putrid Riders who are getting worse by the week doesn't make me sure that the Ticats' problems are behind them either - so let's see how these next few weeks shake down.
Cameron Dukes + Dan Adeboboye + Kevin Mital + David Ungerer + Damonte Coxie + DaVaris Daniels + Dejon Brissett = Unstoppable Force
TFC Ravi, the other home team that plays at BMO. I just didn't want to use their name, but you forced me to. The post I was responding too was comparing the Argos attendance to TFC's attendance at BMO and I gave him a suggestion why TFC's is higher at this point. They have an excellent record at home, especially since bringing in Giovinco.
I will offer optimism and tell you that I did attend a TFC game before renovations at BMO when it just held 20,000, and there was an announced crowd of 10,000 that looked smaller than yesterdays crowd for the Argos at BMO. I could swear there are as many fans milling about in the concourse looking for shade as there were at their seats. The lower west side was very decent. Sitting on the east side must've felt like being locked in a convection oven...it may look bad on TV, but I don't blame fans for moving. Afternoon games suck in 30 degrees, and I could swear every home game has been hot and humid. At least at night, you get a breeze and I noticed a nice breeze by the end of the game yesterday.
Perhaps the new Argo slogan should be 'Welcome To The Shit Show' at BMO.
Looking at the numbers from the Hip concert, should be a little wake up call for the CFL. When the tv contract comes up again, they need to get some games back over the air.
OTA with who though? There are only 3 real options in Canada, CTV (own TSN) Global (Shaw) and CBC. CBC isn't bidding on professional sports anymore.
There's also CityTV (Rogers) I suppose but they're smaller.
TSN has exclusive rights for many more years and also gets an exclusive renewal negotiation window IIRC. With how many people that are cutting the cord it may not matter that much when the next renewal comes up.
I don't see how a one time special event like a farewell concert can relate anyway to the CFL contact. While the CFL still generates good numbers, who is going to outbid Bell Media for the services? With current television trends, I would say Bell has the upper hand, no longer the CFL, in future negotiations.
