Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1

Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
I won't write them off yet, though, some people may be tempted to.
Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
Still a very good team that is well coached, would be foolhardy to write them off.
Collaros sat out the pre-season which surely didn’t help his cause on the weekend.

I was of the opinion that Collaros had slipped a bit last year as the O-line wasn't what it once was. Also, with Lawler out for maybe a while, I think they will struggle a bit early this year.
Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
older teams can start slow so i want to give them a pass but collaros was dismal
Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
I get 1982 Eskimo vibes from this Bomber team. That Edmonton team started the season slowly, but recovered and won the Grey Cup.
I'd write off the Bombers at your own peril.

Too bad that they lost Lawler in the first game (fractured arm) and now it looks like Brady Oliveira is out this week with a knee injury. I thought Collaros looked rusty in the first game, but this team has too much talent not to come back stronger as the season wears on.

Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
Too early to write Winnipeg off of course but definitely a concerning start. After the way the GC ended, I fully expected the Bombers to come out kicking azz and taking names. I had Olivera going off for a couple TD's and over 100 yards. Kudos to the Als.
Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
I missed everything before the delay, but the Bombers now 0-2. Wouldn't it be nice to have the power swing to the East for a few years? Early still, but hopefully Ottawa can be better this year than they've been recently.
Re: Winnipeg looked bad in Week 1
The Bombers look old suddenly like the 1992 Argos and 2008 Argos. Their offensive line isn't very good and their receiving corps isn't particularly scary. Willie Jefferson is still good but definitely on the downward slope of his career, as is Adam Bighill.
