It's plausible, too, that Joseph's release means that Orimolade is ready to return.primetime321 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 8:00 pmWith the release of Joseph, you wonder if the Argos have heard something about Luiji Vilain's status with Carolina. He is fourth in the OLB depth chart with the Panthers so maybe the Argos could think he could shake loose and join the team in September.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 5:05 pm The team has released backup Canadian (National) DE Daniel Joseph after a short stint with the team. This leaves Robbie Smith and Rookie Tyson Hergott as the lone Canadian (National) DEs on the roster.

Possibly. Giffen was healthy enough to go full in practices two weeks ago but was never activated.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Aug 06, 2024 4:39 pmMaybe Giffen is finally healthy enough to be employed at an extra blocker in certain situations?
The current injury report had McKellar unable to practise today.
Re: 2024 Transactions
So, what has been the big holdback on Adeleke getting on to the game roster? Is he still a bit nicked and they're waiting for him to get to 100% ? Why on earth would they not want a veteran, proven D playmaker not just on the roster but starting on the D ? Could it be the roster thinkers here only want the minimum number of Canadians dressed = GOB sacrosanct - so excess Canadians get stashed on the IR (while giving raw rookie Americans roster / playing time) ? Or maybe they're trying to save a few $chekels on Adeleke's huge contract and saving him for a late season run. Might be nice to host a play-off game however.

CFL.ca transactions show Mason Pierce back on the PR while Quincy Mauger added to Game Roster.
Re: 2024 Transactions
It also looks like Isaac Darkangelo got released on August 18.
