NCAA at BMO

Post by Blueonblue »

So I noticed the ads at the game, for an NCAA game at BMO next year. …..as I don’t follow NCAA I have a multitude of questions.
Have MLSE or someone else done this before?
Do other cities do the same? Especially BC?

And then through my “hate the CFL rule changes” lens ……Is this the dollar generator that was the impetus for the field changes? If it works in TO then other venues may try it ?

No other Canadian cities do this. Toronto did host something called the International Bowl at SkyDome for a few years back in the 2000s, featuring NCAA teams.

A young Zach Collaros played in one of those games. Little did he know Toronto would become his future home, Aurora actually. Married a good Canadian girl.

I went to one of those games between UConn and Rutgers, if I recall, one of the teams didn't throw a pass until well into the second half.

I may go to the Syracuse vs Wake Forest game. I assume as season ticket members that we'd get some sort of first dibs on tickets.

Ray Rice also played that game. Can't say the same about him.....

I’ll probably go to the game if we get a deal as STH’s. I went to 2 international bowls. Wake Forest has a pretty good QB from what I saw of their game last week against a very good Miami of Florida team. Left handed throws a nice ball. But with that ridiculous transfer portal, he will likely be elsewhere next year.
