Mike O'Shea may have made the stupidest coaching decision I have seen in a long time. Winnipeg scores a TD to get within 1 point of Saskatchewan with only the convert left. If he kicks the one point convert, the game goes to the crapshoot that OT is and the Riders were getting the better of Winnipeg at the line of scrimmage. The other option was simply attempt the 2 point convert from the 2 yard line. Get it and you win or don't get it and you lose. You're not getting a better chance to win the game than this. What does O'Shea do? He goes for the one point convert to tie and force OT where the Bombers bow out meekly. To not go for 2 in that situation made absolutely zero sense. It was a horrible decision.

The game shouldn't have even gone to OT. For some reason Trey Vaval, who was at the back of the endzone, attempted to catch the ball on a missed FG that was clearly headed out of bounds, gifting Sasky a single point.

I hear you, but I am going back and forth on this. Try it and succeed, guaranteed win. Try it and fail, guaranteed loss. Don't try it, you have multiple ways to win IF your defence can make at least one good play. If he had no faith in his defence, going for it would have made perfect sense. But knowing O'Shea, I imagine he has a lot (too much?) faith in his defence.

Agreed; it's baffling that CFL coaches are so far unable to teach - 100% - that situation to ANY returner they have back there, with the new rule this year (free 40 yard line start - dumb rule); inexcusable stupidity. Maybe Vaval was told to try to take the miss back for a big TD play, but way at the back of the end-zone the chances go down.

Mind you, if the Riders kicker doesn't miss 2 makeable FGs the game would have been over earlier for the Riders.

Condell as OC talked out of using his best O player in Oliveira - stop the run early and typical CFL offensive "thinkers" will abandon it like a rat ...

Peg now at 7 and 8, running out of games to play. Looked bad in Montreal (but so does everyone else who goes there)
Seems to me the Bombers will be 5th in West and miss the playoffs in 2026.

I can't see the Bombers winning any of their remaining games.
home to Calgary this week, then finish at Edmonton and at BC. (unless BC is resting a bunch of players because they can't move in the standings).

On the play Janarion Grant returned for a td I was thinking he should have let it go through the end zone to start at the 40. Hard to believe he was able to read the coverage so well to know he could return it for a td.

Some credit should go to Mickey Donavan and Miller there. They give him the green light to do so.

Last night Mobil Thanksgiving Weekend featured 2 teams that the Argos could face in the Eastern Semi Final. Purchase $25.00 of gas at any Mobil station until October 12 & receive a free CFL Keychain.
Zac C had a good bounce back game as Winnipeg put a dent in Calgary's post season aspirations. Between the 3 Western Football Conference teams that could cross over, I'm confident they will have thier season end October 31 at BMO Field.
