Pickett did have a great game, in a continuing series of great games. I wonder if they will give him some rest for the rest of the schedule.

I don't believe that stat, and someone is being very very generous to him. If he is the primary tackler, it is almost always past the line of scrimmage.
Must be a conspiracy. Maybe his father is chief statistician in the league.

I was able to attend yesterdays thrilling game. After rewatching it, how fitting to see Fajardo throw a game ending endzone interception after benefiting from an atrocious PI call on Tuebner earlier in that drive. Refs had an opportunity to pick up that flag but didnt have the courage to do so.Great defensive performances all around...Bolden & Pickett with 13 tackles & a sack each, Lemon with a near interception & causing havoc all day, Holley with a fumble return for a TD, 2 endzone interceptions. But back to Fajardo. He was great until he reached the redzone. Lots of 2nd & short yardage but he just couldn't outplay Kelly who didn't have the benefit of a run game. Killam listing both RBs, Rankin & Powell as GTD is bush league to say the least. The trading post & general store in Edmonton will be somebre this week after yesterdays loss.

Micah Awe has been amongst CFL tackle leaders in the past few seasons, no? I'm very glad he is not the Argos starting MLB. But he does keep getting repeat CFL shots at playing time due to his passport. Making lots of tackles well down the field is good for a MLB stats' line - sort of like a QB with a high completion % when he's a "check-down Charlie" (credit Chad Kelly).

Darkangelo is still a relatively young CFL player - he could learn and put it together to become better.

The Argos just beat a supposedly great this season CFL team = the EE ain't that great = over-rated.

I for one am still elated knowing the Argos went from missing the playoffs last year to clinching second place by beating the best team in the league. Despite hiring a rookie head coach, other significant personnel changes, a very disadvantageous schedule, a quarterback returning from a serious injury and other factors, the Argos exceeded our expectations and are a competitive team again.

Normally this team needs at least a few years of being lost in the woods before they can get it together again.

What a time to be alive.

I have wondered if Darkangelo is playing with some sort of injury this year. He just doesn't look like the same player he was last year.

Darius McKenzie, a good Canadian kid is often listed as the backup at MLB and it would be interesting to see him get some defensive reps in the upcoming games.

That was — by Argo standards — a good crowd on Saturday. One of the smartest things the team does is to have the massive groups of young dancers performing at halftime. I'm sure it's a nightmare to coordinate, but every one of those kids - there were probably 400 of them on the field - represents at least couple of ticket sales to Mom and Dad (and I think this is why the tailgate parking lot was more crowded earlier on than usual.)

I'm probably the only one that thinks this but when I hear "Darkangelo", I think "Oh, it's the crime fighting night time alter ego of noted one-time-Argo-anthem-singer-who-had-to-issue-an-apology Frank D'Angelo"

This is a good perspective. I was extremely doubtful the team would be able to overcome the horrific schedule it was handed, and figured third place was the very best we could hope for. There is an element of good fortune here, in that Hamilton lost its QB and immediately became pretty easy to beat, and no one foresaw Ottawa turning into a dumpster fire. But the fact is that with just five weeks left, the Argos are a legitimate Grey Cup contender despite some major challenges with the running game and general inconsistency.
