I agree 100%. Assuming we get Chad Kelly back. Still crickets. I hope his silence to this point is because of PR and he is going to wait until last minute which I'm guessing is when they come off of the bye and begin practicing again. So he should announce by 16th or 17th because practice is 18th.

Make Clemons President!!!
Re: Game Thread: Calgary Stampeders @ Toronto Argonauts
It wasn't pretty at times, but all three phases contributed to the victory.
Vandal didn't look out of place at RG did he?

Not sure what to think of Mital, looks a big receiver but not sure he’s the guy you want getting short passes unless the goal is for him plow through for the 1st down.

Vandal largely went unnoticed last night which is a very good thing for an O-Lineman.

Grant, Metchie, Carey - at mid-season's point, these are my 3 MVPs for the Argos. All 3 were huge in this win!

Nice to see DaVaris Daniels get involved as well.

under 200 yds passing is not winning football most days in the CFL. The D and Special Teams bailed us out again, just like they did in Montreal.
Argos are the only team with NO receivers in the top 20, hard to do that in a 9-team league. Our QB play and receivers have got to step up to the level of our D and Special Teams.

Couldn’t agree more. At least Arbuckle was only sacked once. I get trying to play mistake free, but the number of times Dukes was sacked definitely hurt. Going backwards is never good.TrueBlueGuy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2024 10:52 pm under 200 yds passing is not winning football most days in the CFL. To be 5-4 with the lack of QB play the Argos have had is a credit to Dinwiddie and his coaching staff.

Most of us figured the Argonauts would be in good shape if their record was hovering around .500 when Kelly returned, mission accomplished.AngeloV wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 12:46 pmCouldn’t agree more. Let’s hope Kelly gets back in the lineup and the team has a strong second half!
