Command Centre

Post by AngeloV »

Well, command centre was once again an embarrassment last night. Not sure who is worse between Valessi and Bradbury, but they were both incompetent on the field, so not sure why they would be better in command centre.
Both teams have valid complaints last night, but I think the RedBlacks have a more valid one. The PI was not PI in real time speed. You can’t look at it frame by frame and change the ruling on the field. Game over at that point.
I am at the point where I just want to take away challenges or reviews on penalties. Only use it for TD, turnovers, in or out of bounds, catch/no catch and perhaps ball placement. This is one thing the NFL has right and the CFL does not. Officials make errors just like players and coaches do. Just let them officiate on the field and live with it.

Yeah the end of the game last evening was pretty bizarre. David Sanchez was saying the same thing, that you can't determine a PI by going through it in slow motion frame by frame. That it should be called on the field. The TSN panel was complaining that the Command Centre determined the game, which isn't right. I agree that they're going to the Command Centre too often and should cut back on what they review.

Couldn’t agree more, nothing more infuriating watching the game being delayed waiting on the command centre to botch the call.
This is not an isolated problem, happens all the time.
Valessi and the now “retired” Bradbury are/were the most incompetent on field officials I’ve ever seen so makes perfect sense for the morons at the league office to move them into the booth so that they can continue to f*ck games up from there.
They should both be fired immediately!

Agreed that the Command Centre seems without direction and making some very questionable calls.

But I wonder IF those 2 rolling into the QB roughing calls (with one resulting in the starting QB getting knocked out of the game) had gone against Ottawa and the result was the Riders winning that game, if all the cry-babies out there (guess where? ;o) ) who are calling the CFL bush league / a joke, and saying they will never watch the league again / that's it I'm done, type stuff would be running their yaps the same way?

Homers gotta hate and love the blame game on the refs for their poor little team's misfortunes. Sad / pathetic, IMO.

No they wouldn’t, all would be well with the world, truth is the PI called by the command centre was a joke and cost Ottawa the game.

I post several times a year about this.

I think for regular season games coaches should get one challenge per game.. its important to make stadium experience good especially for new CFL fans. no issues with command centre except that less plays should be reviewed to reduce delays. Also would like a 10 ( or 15 ) yard penalty or loss of down for using a coaches challenge... LOL... but who cares what I think.

I think NHL Struggles with the coaches challenge as well. Some times they will go back 5 minutes looking for an offside. I usually check whats on other channels during a NHL coach challenge. CFL is not the only league struggling with this .
