Does anyone remember when Ottawa had a home game where it didn't rain steadily? Such a shame to see aging Winnipeg drop to 0-2 behind the leagues" Top Player ".

I enjoyed watching Ottawa beat Winnipeg.
Not the biggest fan of Dunigan in the booth, it was like he along with Rod Smith were hosting a Winnipeg Blue Bomber tribute show.

Rod Smith doesn't know where the yard sticks are.

Ottawa and Hamilton are susceptible to rain storms/thunder storms in ways that Toronto isn't. Many storms that hit Hamilton come over the escarpment.

Yeah... but did you see them in week 2? Shambolic.

It's still week 2 and they could pull themselves together and win 9 or 10 games and get into the playoffs and do something... But the dominant Bombers of the last 4 seasons are dead and gone. And they're more likely to fizzle out as the veterans who look old, tired and nicked up just won't have it in them to match the compete level of the other teams ready to challenge for 1st in the West.

Calgary had 5 or 6 GC appearances in 7 years and then they faded to black. This may not be the end of the Bombers' run... but it darn sure looks like it.

I personally was shocked O'Shea didn't try some sort of catch and punt into the end zone on the last play of the game. He seems to be in love with that play.

The difference between worst and best in the league for now does not look very large. Standings in both East and West could be tight all season. Games matter, especially your divisional ones. East is 3-1 vs. West so far. Hamilton needs to keep pace. They need that home win against Saskatchewan. Right now I would have them as the worst team, but they're not horrible - they need to split the home and home with Sask.

Ottawa held Collaros to <50% passing on the evening and he seemed under relentless pressure throughout the game. I didn't stay up to watch the ending after the lightning delay, however I see that, nonetheless, Winnipeg almost pulled it out.

In the meantime, that was quite the storm yesterday. When the lightning delay started in Ottawa, the storm front was large enough and was on a SW-NE axis that the same storm that caused the lightning delay caused rain in the GTA.

With this victory by Ottawa, it should be noted that the east is now 3-1 vs the west.
Nice going Hamilton. You ruin everything.
