You should join a certain other team fan site where they love to go all crazy with scape-goating players or coaches and demanding they be fired/cut after every loss. You'd feel more at home there.

Jones, Eiben and a bunch of others on the Argo D whiffed on tackle opportunities, and the D had a bad game for sure with not enough taking down of the slow Bovine; but the biggest busts were on veteran
quality DB Amos who gave up those 2 early long TD passes and the late deep throw to O-Orange that salted the game away for the Ticats. Eiben & Fields need to get it together for sure, but they're 10x smarter than that clown Chris Jones who the Ticats desperately hired. Both defences gave up over 300 yards passing AND 100 rushing yards this game. Both stunk.

They might as well have. I am royally pissed off with this loss. Ticats are a crap team and the Argos have had lousy starts and lost two games that they shouldn't have to them.
My feelings exactly Ravi.

It appears as if the failure to convert on third and goal on three seperate occasions last game, played a factor in the third and short today. Especially on that last attempt in the second quarter where we snapped it before the ref could spot the ball (which was a blessing because we were going to get stopped) but on the reset, why didn't we go for it and elected to take the time count instead?

I don't know if that was an intentional time count or not. There seemed to be a lot of confusion there. They definitely needed to turn one or two of those field goals into TDs.

The Argos are 5 and 1 at home, and now 1 and 4 on the road.
Games remaining:
Home: Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa
Away: Ottawa , BC, Winnipeg, Edmonton
They will likely win 2 or 3 games at home, and one on the road. So they may finish around 10 wins and 8 losses. That will likely be enough to get into the playoffs, and who knows how it will go from there. They will have to be much better on the road than they were today if they hope to get to the Grey Cup game.

100%. Settling for FGs wasn't going to cut it today. It sucks because there was some miscommunication on the play to open up the game. It was a sure TD but either the receiver ran the wrong route or Kelly misthrew it. And then the second play was the INT, things just snowballed from there.

I'm going to the third and final game against these guys later on in the month. Hoping for a better performance for the D and I sure as hell hope we don't go into a 21-3 hole or whatever score it was today to start off the game, or else I don't see us putting up much of a fight.

I don't see them winning 2 or 3 games at home - think they will be lucky if they win one (Hamilton) unless they get alot better than they were today. And who knows how they'll do on the road - BC looked great in the game on Friday night, and despite the loss to BC Ottawa has looked good. As we have discussed elsewhere on this site, this is not the Argos team of last year, not nearly as strong or with as much talent or depth. So I guess we'll just have to see how they do over the next couple of weeks, but so far I'm not impressed.

Terrible effort by the defense. Ceresna....when is he going show up? No pass rush, BLM had all day to throw.
Kelly played okay, still rusty. Some very poor play selection by DimWiddy.

A BTW aside - that was interference on Daniels early in the game that RD challenged; a DB cannot run thru a receiver about to catch the ball and just say I was going for the ball; run stride for stride with a bit of hand-fighting is Ok, but u can't just bump the receiver out of the way and say i was going for the ball / so what; otherwise DBs could just do this every play. CFL refs just do not understand PI enough IMO; still see plenty of blatant screening where a DB does not look for the ball but gets in a receiver's face with some contact, but no call.

This team has been in all the road losses, but simply cannot finish. They will have to figure this out as many upcoming games are on the road.

But, how much of this, also, was Hamilton's Labour Day "magic?"
