Doxtater signs

Post by paulwoods13 »

Just announced. This likely won't help this season (barring a slew of injuries) but he shapes up as a potential starter next year, IMO.

I've been following Doxtator's spring football career very astutly. Unfortunately he only suited up for about 4 games in the XFL with Houston and didn't dress at all last season with St Louis of the UFL. He did look good in that brief time. I know he has had shoulder issues, but hopefully he can remain healthy and help provide protection for QB Chad Kelly as well as contributing to the ground attack.

Potential nice signing, but that resume suggests he might not be able to make the roster, let alone be a starter (not going to happen anyways if both OT spots are pencilled-in for Americans only); still, bring on the competition for next TC and the Argos O-line should have plenty of Canadian talent with the guys they already have. This might mean they are less inclined to look at more O-linemen next draft.

Still hoping on draft picks L. Vilain & J. Wayne maybe showing up by next year (if their NFL chances run out) - and both of those guys are potential impact starters IMO.

I like this signing but it remains to be seen if Doxtater is fully healthy. I've always thought that Doxtater could be an effective guard instead of a tackle since his foot quickness is not his biggest strength.

TSN reports it was a hand injury that prevented Doxtator from suiting up in St Louis and protecting AJ McCarron. AKA " The Rock's" main man.

I believe many of our OL are under contract for 2025, however, it will be interesting if Doxtater pushes Cage at LT? Cage is effective when healthy, but is also quite injury prone (he's still out).

I believe that Cage has been playing injured for a while but has been gutting it out.
