It's a tough matchup, but the Argos can clinch a playoff spot with a win against Winnipeg next week.
Re: Game Thread: Argonauts at Blue Bombers
Maybe the Bombers get revenge and sit Collaros as payback for the Argos sitting Kelly last year.

If Saskatchewan beats Edmonton today Winnipeg will play Toronto hard to secure first overall. And Toronto will be gunning for second. This game will be a good test for both teams. Argos should be as healthy as they've been in a long time coming off the bye. Looking forward to next Friday night.

That's correct, I believe WPG only clinched a playoff spot yesterday, but will clinch homefield if Edmonton upsets Saskatchewan today.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 8:00 am If Saskatchewan beats Edmonton today Winnipeg will play Toronto hard to secure first overall. Both teams have plenty to play for. Argos need to get ahead early and keep the Winnipeg running game at bay. Oliveira is playing very well. Argos line play offence and defence figure to play major roles to grab a road win. Argos can bring their own4 headed run monster - Kelly, Carey, Adeboboye and McMahon to chew up turf and clock. Will wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 9:19 amThat's correct, I believe WPG only clinched a playoff spot yesterday, but will clinch homefield if Edmonton upsets Saskatchewan today.Scooter McCray wrote: ↑Sat Oct 05, 2024 8:00 am If Saskatchewan beats Edmonton today Winnipeg will play Toronto hard to secure first overall. Bombers last home game, and it’s a sellout. They can also clinch first in the West with a win, and head into a bye week. I see them playing a highly motivated game - they will be tough to beat. That said, the Argos need to catch Ottawa, and will have Kelly playing. It should be a great game!
Re: Game Thread: Argonauts at Blue Bombers
Stuff Oliveira early and the Argos counter with their own more diverse run game.
And the Bummers D is just not that good anymore IMO; aside from a couple of stud DBs in Ford & Nichols, and Jefferson still good to bat down some passes, they are average to weak.
Argos have the deeper receiving corps, plus Kelly is a real run threat (please do some) where Collaros is not.
J. Grant gets some revenge on his old team.

Re: Game Thread: Argonauts at Blue Bombers
do you even watch the CFL anymore? There D is by far number 1 in the league this year, both in terms of points allowed and yards. I have no idea how anyone can think their D isn't good anymore.
Re: Game Thread: Argonauts at Blue Bombers
The Argos D is #1 in the league this year vs. the run, no? Hear anybody calling them a great D ?
