It'll be interesting to see how both Bosse and former XFL Champion and Luis Perez Body Guard George Moore play in thier CFL debut. I would have liked to have seen Doxtator get into the lineup but I understand the decision. Another new comer to watch is Rough Rider Pre Season Phenom WR Jake Herslow who is also making his CFL regular season debut.

"Pinball" & Diane Clemons will be attending the Argos game in Edmonton tonight. Tomorrow they will be at the podium in Toronto at 9am hosting The Pinball Foundation's Youth Conference back here in Toronto. Redeye flight and a drive from Pearson Airport.

What these two do for Toronto's youth is rarely talked about. Much respect for Mike & Diane!

Well said, they do these things with little to no fanfare.
Wonderful people!

Well the Argos are ahead at the half. It looks like Coxie and Dukes have sustained injuries, extent unknown.

Dukes under threw a couple of long passes.. Arbuckle looks reasonably competent. The Argos have had a couple of turnovers, one a fumble by Nield unfortunately. There was poor tackling in the first quarter but that seems to have improved. The Argo rookies by and large look okay.

Edmonton has had what seems like a handful of unnecessary roughing penalties.

I like Arbuckle more as the #2 going forward injury or not

By all accounts, Coxie and Dukes are fine. Parrish seemed okay too so I think the Argos got out of this one okay.

Young George Moore took 2 of the 4 penalties on the Argos tonight with the 2nd one depriving them of any chance to win this game in OT.

The defence had some issues in the 4th quarter. The offence was very productive tonight, other than having three straight two and outs from late in the third quarter to the first 11 minutes of the 4th quarter which helped the Elks get back into the game.

Nick Arbuckle, who I was very sour on after last season, has earned a contract for next year IMO. His play has been solid when pressed into action this year but this was definitely his best game as an Argo. He just seems comfortable with Dinwiddie and his offence.

Jake Herslow looked impressive and Deonta McMahon had a strong game too. Anyway, onto next week's big playoff game against Ottawa.

An exhibition game for one team anyway. I think this one meant a lot more to the Elks.

Based on this one game here are some highly personal observations:
. With so many starters not playing the team still did well
. The Dukes experiment should now be over
. Arbuckle, behind a make shift OL and missing Carey and 2 top WRs in second half played very well. He should be the backup QB
. Polk makes a claim to be considered in the Rookie of the Year award
. Some back up players made a strong case for next year (Herslow) and others didn't
. The secondary still looks like a job in progress
. Good to see Mital getting a chance to show his talent
