I cannot figure out why the CFL has not made inroads in putting a team in Quebec City. The quality players the province puts out is incredible and a Montreal vs Quebec City rivalry would instantly be up there with Hamilton/Toronto and Edmonton/Calgary, Winnipeg/Saskatchewan. With Pierre Karl Peladeaus leadership and familiarity with Quebec money people and government how can this not get done?

Draft Eligible

2024 CW Offensive All-Stars
Centre
Mark Rauhaus, Manitoba 4th
Guards
Arvin Hosseini, UBC 4th
Receivers
Sam Davenport, UBC 4th
Daniel Wiebe, Saskatchewan 4th
Running Backs
Ryker Frank, Saskatchewan 4th
Breydon Stubbs, Manitoba 4th
Quarterback
Jackson Tachinski, Manitoba 4th

2024 CW Defensive All-Stars
Linebackers
Seth Hundeby, Saskatchewan 4th
Interior Linemen
Ty Anderson, Alberta 4th
Ends
Tarick Polius, Regina 4th
Liam Reid, Calgary 4th
Halfbacks
Mack Bannatyne, Alberta 4th
Safety
Nate Beauchemin, Calgary 4th
Tachinski & Beauchemin were a couple of the unanimous picks there. Also - last year's Argo draft pick - Daniel Shin - was named CanWest all-star C again (tied with Rauhaus)

QBs aside; this looks like a very deep safety crop for next draft: Beauchemin joins top rated Jackson Findlay + AUS all-star Owen O'Neal (Mount A) to go with a couple of Div I starting safeties (Jett Elad (UNLV) & former Guelph Gryphon D. Cromwell (Texas Tech)

Some good U Sports receiver & RB prospects perhaps - but most of them could be written-off by the "scouts" if they do not run real fast 40 times or have big size.

I suspect Jackson Findlay will be one of those guys that tries for the NFL. He might hold his own pro day or end up at the Buffalo Bulls pro day. I suspect he will be signed as a free agent in the NFL after the draft. He is in pre-med, so I don't know if we will ever see him in CFL, if is NFL aspirations fail.

Yea; but DeQuoy had similar sub 4.4 speed and big DB size and he only lasted a bit in a Packers "try-out". Findlay might have aspirations down south, but the reality is they have so little respect for Canadian college ball players. And as one of the best (IMO) pure safety prospects for the CFL draft in a long-time, Findlay might go very high there - a smart team might use their top pick on such a key position on defence. Look what Ty Ford has done this season - one of the best corners in the entire league when he got the chance to start.

All-Canadian teams announced.

Dinos' Nate Beauchemin named 1s team all-Canadian and also wins the President's Trophy as top D player of the year; joins a very impressive safety crop for the coming CFL draft : 2023 1st team safety Jackson Findlay (of the reported sub 4.4 speed and # 5 on the CFL Scouting Bureau's top prospects list) , and a couple of NCAA ball safeties (Jett Elad (UNLV) #11 & Devynn Cromwell (Texas Tech; formerly with Guelph) #13; also AUS all-star safety O. O'Neal.

Some other U Sports D all-stars are very good CFL draft prospects as well IMO; LB Miessan (Montreal - 2023 President's Trophy winner); DE J. Ojo (Montreal); DT D. Newell (Queens) - all on that initial Scouting Bureau top 20 list.
