Yes I noticed Kelly was extremely poised during all that. Tough as nails.Unplayable wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 6:17 pm Yes, looks awfully like a tibia fracture. I am amazed at how little pain he showed. Arbuckle to the rescue we hope.

Re: East Final Thread - Toronto Argonauts @ Montreal Alouettes
I am so happy to see our Argos hold on for the win after clearly NOT our best game, by a lot.
GC seems highly unlikely without #12, but our guys have been resilient all year, remember games 1 to 9?
Chad gets hurt fighting for that one more yard for the 1st down, his determination is admirable.
certainly our Argos have the motivation in place to "do it for #12". All season both the BB and Riders have looked very
beatable, so who knows??

I have said this before but I was very down on Arbuckle coming into this season. I thought his career was done. It's amazing what good coaching and having good players around you can do - he had neither in his stops in Edmonton and Ottawa. The big thing for him is staying away from the turnovers, which he has done this season.
Everyone knows my thoughts on Chad Kelly but I have tried to move past that mess. I feel badly for him today and I don't want to hear any crap about how he deserves this injury - I know that won't be said on here. Hopefully, he can have a smooth recovery and be ready for training camp.
Also, there's really only one viable option for third string QB next week and that's Bryan Scott. Given the time he has put in for the Argos over the past two years, it would be nice to see him back for the big game.
Otherwise, this was absolutely a team win today and a very deserving one at that. Two of the key 4th quarter plays today were the stops on the 2-point converts (a sack by Holley? and the 2nd INT by Franklin).

Huge team win!!!! Obviously, the enthusiasm is dampened with the loss of Kelly, but a strong game from all three phases can make it happen. Arubuckle is more of a 1b rather than a back up and will relish the opportunity to lead them to a championship in this game. Dukes is also a good change of pace and is very effective in the red zone. It can be done.

Has Bryan Scott been resigned yet?Stevoman wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 8:25 pm Huge team win!!!! Bombers will be on a mission, determined not to lose three in a row. But even with Arbuckle at QB, IMO Argos match up well against them. Will have to play better than today on both offence and defence, but perfectly capable of that.
