TSN reporting that Kelly undergoing surgery in Montreal tonight. Expected to be out at least 9 months.
To be fair, TSN reported 6 to 9 months.
Sorry about that. I must have mis-heard. Not trying to spread disinformation. Enough of that going on around the world already.
If he is able to come back after 6 months that would be amazing, but from what I saw, I wouldn't take that bet. Let's hope and pray he makes a full recovery regardless of how long it takes, just so he can play again. He deserves to get another shot to lead the Double Blue.

He has a strong work ethic so there's little doubt in my mind that he will return. The question is when does he return between May and August next season?

Nick Arbuckle did beat the Blue Bombers in July. I grant you that the game was at BMO, but the Argos aren't down and out.

So many guys balled out today, but I wanted to give a specific shoutout to Damonte Coxie. A game-time decision, he had 5 catches for 105 yards, but none were important than the two he had to finish the first half. Janarion Grant had a punt return TD and a big reception that got the Argos out of the shadow of their own goalpost. Ka'Deem Carey had a big run that set-up a field goal and David Ungerer had the big catch on the last drive.

4 forced fumbles, too!

Bang on. I would add Makai Polk for punching out the ball on the Als interception in the 1st quarter that gave us the ball back. Our guys compete and never give up. I honestly believe that being the underdog going into the GC is a blessing in disguise.

Just for interest sake, and make of it what you will, but here is an article from last April called “Quantifying the Performance of Professional Athletes Following Traumatic Tibial Fractures.”
The CFL was not included but the NFL was.
The 6 to 9 month estimate may be based on soccer player data rather than football data. Hopefully Kelly is a fast healer.

Proud of the guys today, glad we pulled it out. I know a lot of people will say the Grant return TD was the turning point and rightfully so. But I'd say that all out TD to head into the half was monumental on our road to victory. I think their was zeroes on the clock once Kelly threw the ball so if it was incomplete I don't think we would have had time to kick a FG.

Feel super bad for Kelly, after having a tumultuous year which included missing half the season to ultimately getting injured and missing out on the biggest game of the year. If anything, that will fuel him even more heading into next season thinking that he has something left to prove by being the Grey Cup starting and winning QB. With a serious injury like that, I'm pretty sure he'll be a bit hesitant to scramble next season and rightfully so, having the injury in the back of his mind.

The reaction from the Als fans once Kelly (and McManus) as well when they got hurt was garbage. But I'll give props to the Als players on wishing Kelly well wishes when he was getting carted off.

When McManus went down I think Als fans thought he was faking to give the Argos extra time (that made zero sense under those circumstances)....call me nieve but when Kelly was being carted off I was under the impression those annoying horns being blown was similar to wishing him well?

A damn shame, after reading some idiotic posts on another teams forum regarding Kelly’s injury I’m glad Winnipeg kicked the shit out of their team tonight.
It's easy to be a complete Dick behind a keyboard with a a made up name right ARGO57?
Agreed, in grade school I got some strange looks when they called out ARGO57 during attendance and I answered.
I haven’t forgiven my parents for giving me that name.

I think your parents did a great job naming you. A great job indeed!

Much respect for Ryan Dinwiddie who showed how much he cares about his players with his emotional encouragement for Chad Kelly who was lying on the field and telling the players to “keep fighting”.
