Everyone is sleeping on Kevin Mital. Don't be surprised if he plays a significant role today.
I've always said that he is our version of Nik Demski. Let him loose. He provides the Argos with a different skillset than the other slotbacks.
Someone else that the experts are sleeping on is Jared Brinkman. They seem to be concentrating on Ceresna and Holley and for good reason. But the rotation of the D-lineman gives the Argos a formidable force and penetration from them will be crucial today.
Brinkman is the consummate run-stopper who made some big stops on Oliveira in the 2022 Grey Cup.
The Bombers player kept playing past the whistle which resulted in Hajrullahu getting hurt. How was that not a penalty?
Bombers fans have to be feeling uncomfortable right now. Arbuckle seems to be gaining confidence as the game progresses. I wish that Dinwiddie had coached more aggressively on that first possession when they got down to the 2 but it is what it is.
Overall, we should be feeling okay about where we are at the half.
This was never going to be pretty if we were going to win - all that matters is the result - right now it’s the kind of game the Argos could steal at the end which is the best you could hope for going in as double digit underdogs with a QB who hasn’t started for us for months….
