Agree completely. I’d call it a superb coaching performance from RD. The play-calling was excellent and at times brilliant. He stayed committed to the run and that really paid off in the second half. He kept things simple for Arby but still mixed things up with some new looks. The two plays to McMahon were huge 2nd down calls and huge momentum builders. The Mital TD was a brilliant call brilliantly executed (the pass had to be absolutely perfect to maintain Mital’s angle and speed, and it surely was).TrueBlueGuy wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 12:32 am coaches deserve credit for designing the strategies
that put our players, old and new, into positions where they could use their skills to the best of their ability.
And coaches deserve credit for molding this group into a Family that cared for each other.
Never lost a championship. He has to be Torontos greatest sports figure in history. The work on Pinballs and Candys statues should begin immediately. Placed outside Gate 1 at Bmo, where everyone can touch them as they enter stadium for good luck.
When Pinball first took over in his present role in 2019, he spoke about retaining local talent and also about building a team that would contend every year, like the Stampeders did for so long, rather than having a franchise with incredible ups and downs as has been the case for decades. He has clearly accomplished both over the past four years and hopefully can continue to do so for years ahead.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 11:49 am Oh, and one of the dumbest things I have ever heard on 3DownNation's podcast (and there have been a few over the years) was Justin Dunk's assertion that "Toronto is a house of cards. You talk to people around the league and they're surprised the Argos are here without a true president. And Michael Pinball Clemons, with all due respect, is not a true general manager of this football team. . . . It's a house of cards."
Fact check: The Argos do not have a president, true. Pinball is not a general manager in the traditional sense, true. And yet somehow they not only made it to their second Grey Cup game in three years, but they won it going away despite an injury to their starting QB. Some house of cards, eh?
