Jared Wayne has been activated by the Texans after spending most of the year on the PR. Even if it's just as an injury replacement, that does not bode well for seeing him in Toronto anytime soon.

Yep; good news for Wayne; but basically bad news for the Argos.

Yeah maybe; took Ryan Hunter or Cory Greenwood more time to show up.

Luiji Vilain was another I had hopes might give up on NFL shots and show up for the Argos.

We shall see.

Yeah, you just have to play the long game on some of these guys.

But all it takes is one terrible game — even just a couple of bad drops — and Wayne could suddenly get released and lose any remaining interest from NFL teams all at once. We’ve seen that movie before.

I'm content with our Canadian receivers.

Yeah - when you have 5 guys - Brissett, Ungerer, Nield, Mital & Sindani - who have all shown they can play in the league - that is way more than most CFL teams. However, injuries can strike anytime including even in TC. I now think J. Wayne is a real long-shot to ever show though.

I would not use one of the first few picks this draft on a receiver - to go with other needs (like D-line IMO), but they could still use a later round pick on a receiver prospect to see if they can find a diamond - like the Riders seemed to do last draft with pick Ajou Ajou.
