So i guess the Argos gave up a vet, very good OT to acquire a LB (Varga) who is just going to be viewed as good ole "depth" / a back-up ?

I don't think that you have to worry about Varga not getting playing time on defence, OV. Players move in and out all of the time, even if they aren't listed on the depth chart as a starter.

I don't think you see star, league best MLBs or W-OLBs swapped out for a rest or a change of pace (like u do see with D-linemen often now); McManis & Judge are an excellent 1-2 punch at inside linebacker spots - they will not be coming off the field without a very good reason. Now maybe Varga is viewed as the future sort of thing or a good guy to have in reserve /depth there. Not sure why u sign that Junior ball star away from the Riders? And I guess Sopik is just ditched now? Or what about former draft pick LBs still on the roster ?

McManis and Judge are likely the two starting LBs, and Varga backs up both and plays situationally. Nice problem to have, and ensures that we have sufficient depth for at least one of our NAT starting positions. Safety/d-line are way bigger worries for me than having three starting-calibre LBs for two spots. If Adeleke re-signs, I think one of the problem spots gets resolved.
