Very important to get a capable backup QB under contract.

I lean towards wanting Scott back as our #3 (presuming he wants to sign for us)... But perhaps this is an opportunity to find the solution to our multi-season short yardage woes?

Maybe Scott, if given the chance, can be that solution?

He's big enough to be the battering ram type (6'2", 220). Whether he has the explosiveness and mentality for it, I don't know.

How many chances does Scott get?

The only reason he was with the team in Vancouver was because of Chad's broken leg.

The Argos have this Tucker Horn guy signed to a future's contract, and it has been the pattern under Dinwiddie's coaching stint to only carry 3 QB's, so Scott may not be back unless they release this Horn guy.

As Kelly, Arbuckle and Horn are our only 3 under contract this year (so far), you wonder who'll be the other guy in camp (presuming there's 4 there).

I would sign Shae Patterson. He played way better than I expected last year for the Riders, and is also good in short yardage.
