Some pretty good signings by the Argonauts including DB Ciante Evans.

And don't forget Dallas Pizza.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 2:58 pm I've mentioned before that Edm is a great place to live. Traffic, while much heavier than when I lived there, is way less of an issue than in Toronto. The cost of living is considerably lower. No provincial sales tax. Great river valley. Not everyone wants to be that far away from other major cities, and obviously if you are heavily into live music or theatre, there's no comparison to Toronto. The winters are long and cold, but sunny. From a purely financial standpoint, the salaries don't need to be even for Edmonton to come out ahead, and if you are looking for a good place to raise a family, you can do a lot worse than Edm.

I wonder how far he can actually throw a ball. Technique alone should get a pro QB 50 yards, yet I don’t think I’ve ever seen him throw more than 30 in the air. If you can’t reach the sideline or go deep, those zones get really tight and teams can afford to also spy him. He’s really ineffective at the moment.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 9:13 pmHis limitation being " The Down Field Pass".
Re: 2025 Argos Free Agency Tracker
That’s exactly what happened when other DC’s got a read on Dukes, clog up the short to medium passes and dare him to throw deep which he struggled to do.ArgoZ wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 1:49 pmI wonder how far he can actually throw a ball. I'm sure Dukes can throw a football 50 yards, the question is, how long does it take for the ball to travel that far?ArgoZ wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 1:49 pmI wonder how far he can actually throw a ball. Should the Argos check in with DE Bryan Cox Jr?

A bunch of CFL GMs have a real propensity to re-cycle players who got some playing time on another CFL team, even if that player was average to mediocre there.
Rather see the Argos focus on the recruit/ sign / draft of some new talent instead as a good plan; they have already added a number of vet FAs like Lanier, Ciante Evans, Bratton, Mayala, Rutledge, Christmas

I kind of like his “competitive fire”, football is not a polite business.gilthethrill wrote: ↑Thu Feb 13, 2025 3:34 pmAfter he flipped the " Double Bird" to the Winnipeg crowd after losing the Western Football Conference Final last season, definitely not! There is no place for that kind of schnanigans in pro sports!
