Re the Depth Chart:
. Agree with OV, McFadden proved last year he should be a starter at CB. Bratton should compete for spot vacated by Amos.
.The chart shows team starting 3 Canadian WRs, if so Mital should be one of those three.

.I still think (certainly in minority) the team will give Doxtator the opportunity to see if he can play at RT

.This year's draft has a number of outstanding DBs and if drafted one could compete for the FS spot.

.Slywka is listed at WR but his natural spot is at DB. He was moved to WR by the NFL in training camp. Not saying he would make the team but he would have a much better chance of doing so at DB

Which Lanier will we have. The player of 2 years ago would be a real asset but the player we saw last year shouldn't make the team

Well... he wouldn't have made our team last season. This year's D-Line is, for intents and purposes, starting from scratch.

OV Argo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 2:21 pm Mital listed as a back-up, but again, hope not - guy could easily graduate to a starter who is targeted lots and IMO has much more potential or ability as a starter over Ungerer or Mayala (who are solid receivers still though)
There is no way I want Mital playing the Z spot. Ungerer is very effective there, but regardless, Mital has to run from an inside position to maximize his effectiveness. He might be showing on depth charts as backing up Brissett, but IMO both guys can and should be on the field at the same time. Mayala would also be in the mix for lots of reps.

Echoing Ben Grant, I wonder if the Argos release Tommy Nield if they knew that Sindani would retire?
Hergy Mayala had the same production as Nield and Sindani combined. Although Nield is a 800-1,000 yard REC now according to Suits.
??? - Mayala has been given way more CFL playing time opportunity than either of Nield or Sindani. You do understand that a receiver is not going to put decent to good #s if they are part-time players or not targeted much in an offence ?

And pretty well any receiver who makes a CFL roster could put IMO up an 800 - 1000 yard season if they got targeted 100 times or so in a season. So - and i can't stand the guy mostly on TSN with his cliches and boring, repetetive "game notes" - I agree with Suitor that Nield easily has CFL 800 + receiving yard potential if were to play and get targeted lots.
Gee OV I was simply stating a fact about comparing Mayla's stats with Sindani and Nield that's all.

Big body incoming.

OL(A) Ryan Coll, 6'5", 325. Was a Falcon and a Colt last year. Played Centre at Indy. Was a Tackle in college. Also played tight end and d-line.

Your point was well taken gil, point being Mayala has proven he can produce if targeted.

I’m sure I speak for all of us at Argofans by thanking Ryan for his service to the Argos and wishing him the best in his future endeavours.
