2025 Ratio Discussion
Two of the players who formed the bedrock of our ratio's rostering strategy have gone to Edmonchuk.
How do we see our Nationals getting deployed this season?

Re: 2025 Ratio Discussion
I think the team will consider going with 5 Canadians on the OL. If Doxtator is unable to do the job at RT the alternative is to put American Moore at RT. So that gives the team 4 or 5 Canadians on the OL. Add 2 Canadian WRs and the team will play 6 or 7 on offense. Judge will play Will and Adeleke or Blackburn will probably play at FS. That gives the team a potential of 8 or 9 Canadian starters. Anyway that is just my guessing at how they may play their Canadians.

Re: 2025 Ratio Discussion
Four o-line, two receivers, one LB. Or three OL, two rec, 1 LB and one DB.
Re: 2025 Ratio Discussion
1. Hunter
2. Nicastro
3. Ciraco (health question, though?)
4. Vandal
5. Doxater (possibly)
6. Brissett
7. Ungerer
8. Mital
9. Vega
10. Judge
11. Blackburn
I expect all 11 to factor into the starting 24 at some point or another.

Argos miss out on getting a bonus draft pick for playing more Canadians (combined O & D snaps on the season).
Bombers (started 9 Nationals pretty well all last season), and BC, finish 1-2 (i'll guess the return of Rourke to play quite a lot put the Lions past the Argos who did start 8 or more a lot of last season). Drag - i was hoping the Argos were going to finish in the top 2.

I'd love to see the statistical evidence underpinning this. If there are statistics showing 12-man deployment for each team for every play, they sure have never been made available publicly. It would be on brand for the league to not count guys properly.OV Argo wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 6:22 pm Argos miss out on getting a bonus draft pick for playing more Canadians (combined O & D snaps on the season).

The Argos, along with BC & the Bombers were clearly the 3 leaders there last season (IMO - from what I saw).paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 07, 2025 6:26 pmI'd love to see the statistical evidence underpinning this. BC played lots of Canadians on D last season; but again - I believe the return of Rourke & Betts pushed them past the Argos.
Maybe the league could make that data public; I however, believe less in the refs / league ability to accurately track subbing of fake Nationals or DIs now; some teams likely get away with playing more of their favored Americans than the rules are supposed to allow.

Shatto...I have some bad news. Tunde Adeleke signed with Ottawa.shatto wrote: ↑Tue Feb 04, 2025 12:52 pm I think the team will consider going with 5 Canadians on the OL. In defence of Shatto - i believe his post about Adeleke maybe in the mix for Argo safety was before Tunde signed with Ottawa.
Blackburn maybe in the mix to be the starting safety for next season; but I would not be surprised to see an import get the job there. Again - Argos could use their top draft pick to address safety.
Re: 2025 Ratio Discussion
Thanks OV. Yes, that was posted before Adeleke signed with Ottawa. Actually, I am a little surprised the Argos didn't make more of an effort to sign him, in light of Metchie leaving. There are a number of good looking DBs coming up in the draft. hopefully, the Argos can draft one them.
