Do we know what time the Double Blue game is scheduled for?
Re: 2025 Training Camp Thread
Re Blackburn & DBs; is Argo 4th rounder this draft Assibo-Dadzie (Windsor) not at TC ? He is an all-Canadian corner who could maybe slide over to safety; and their last round draft pick is another DB in McMaster's D. Masuka - big sized DB who could probably get a real look at safety as well. They may not have used an early pick on safety/DB help, but they did go there this draft.shatto wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 2:40 pm Some very personal observations of today's T C:
.Looks like Evans in penciled in for Amos and Bratton was playing CB in place of injured Franklin.
.Kelly dressed but did not participate in the workouts.
.New QB Horn seemed to have good velocity on his passes but could not comment on anything else about his play.
.Vyncint Smith WR was not on the field. Suspect like Carter DL, he may be a no show.
. After being injured for nearly all of last season, Ciraco was dressed and fully participating in drills.
. Mital looked to be in great mid season form. He has to be a starter. Not sure how they will keep Brissett and Ungerer off the field. 3 Canadian WRs starting? Surely not.
.Slwka WR saw a lot of action. Don't know if he will make the roster but maybe the PR?
Blackburn was playing at FS until he got a slight ding and then Watts got most of the playing time at FS. Watts was a a 4th round NFL draft choice and has played over 50 games in the NFL. Edouard played at CB. If Blackburn is the starting FS, there appears to be no Canadian backup if he goes down. Sorry to beat a dead horse---but with all the good looking DBs as possible FSs available in the draft, it is surprising the team did not draft one.
A lovely sunny day, not too warm and not too cold. We had a long conversation with Michael Clemons. As charming, personable and pleasant as always. We are lucky to have Pinball. Hope he stays for a long time. I noticed he went to the women and wished then a Happy Mothers day. Great guy.
Mital starting along with Brissett & Ungerer (with Mayala for depth) should be a definite possibility, but we shall see.

Assibo-Dadzie was at the TC but did not play at FS . With Masuka injured and not in camp there does not appear to be a Canadian backup at this time. Perhaps Masuka will get some practice time at the position when he eventually is able to practice with the team. He certainly has the size to play FS. Things should be clearer when the final cutdown occurs. I just found it interesting that when Blackburn had to leave the field, with what looked like a mild injury, that Edouard did not get any reps at the position. Watts got most of the reps and was always at FS when the 1st string D was on the field. Does that indicate anything--who knows?
Re: 2025 Training Camp Thread
Well, i think it would be quite wise, if they don't have Canadian depth for a possible starting Canadian at safety, that at least one of the American DBs in the mix gets plenty of work there; cause S in Canadian ball is a very different animal then what American ball safeties are used to.shatto wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 10:44 pm Assibo-Dadzie was at the TC but did not play at FS . It seems evident that the Argos do not NEED to start a NAT at safety, so if Blackburn wins the job, he can be backed up by an INT without any roster consequences.

Crezdon Butler manned the S spot jn 2021 and the team seemed to be just fine.paulwoods13 wrote: ↑Mon May 12, 2025 7:17 am It seems evident that the Argos do not NEED to start a NAT at safety, so if Blackburn wins the job, he can be backed up by an INT without any roster consequences.
Re: 2025 Training Camp Thread
Hogan replied to me on X that that won’t happen again. This year, players warm up at 2:50pm and the “game” starts 3:45pm.

Masuka is expected to play with the University of Guelph this year.shatto wrote: ↑Sun May 11, 2025 10:44 pm Assibo-Dadzie was at the TC but did not play at FS . Here is Mike Hogan's first article on camp:
Lirim Hajrullahu and Benjie Franklin both had off-season surgeries, but are "are both close to being able to participate after off-season surgeries."
