But OMG - Adeboboye, who has shown to be one of the best ST players in the league and also a pretty capable RB, is making about a whopping 40 grand more now than a guy who would just sits on the bench or PR due to his passport ? Quick call the con-jobs and their egg marketing board police to investigate; or, join the chorus of cry-babies over on another predictable CFL site for a whine fest.
Saying that a guy who went through tryouts and training camp didn't earn his spot is a stupid comment, but you're giving me a whataboutism instead of addressing what I said, which is that Scott never got a payday.

As for Abeboboye, I have no issue that he got a payday. He's yet another example of supply and demand in the CFL -- limited supply of Canadians get paid when they graduate from rookie to effective player, and he's not even an established starter.

Oh, ok, by "payday" you mean this raise to astronomical CFL money that Adeboboye got? So a guy who was earning the same money (?) as a bench sitting QB (who sorry, got handed a roster spot with basically zero real competition, when, for example, a Michael O'Connor could have been brought back by the Argos), but who actually played lots - ST stud and capable RB with plenty of O reps, does deserve this big "payday". Very nice.

And Scott is yet another example of Canadian ball totally inexperienced and ultra limited QB resumes getting handed CFL roster spots simply because of their American passports. Same old.

Scott earned his spot, as did Dukes. Both beat out the man that was expected to be the #2 in 2023 in Ben Holmes. Whether you want to acknowledge there was competition or not is entirely up to you and your twisted conspiracy way of looking at everything. Why are Rourke and Ford starting if it was just a passport thing?

Might as well go out on top as a Grey Cup champion.

The addition of Charlie Ringland makes even more sense now.

Probably regrets leaving the Argos for a team that won't get past the Double Blue this season. Did he get a signing bonus?

The Canadian coach and GM probably informed him that he would be used mostly on special teams, because they have no use for more than 7 Canadian starters. I'm 100% sure that weighed in to his decision.

Some cuts out of Ottawa, including a former high draft pick of the Argos.

Remember the outrage when the Argos allowed Hamilton to pluck him from our PR? Maybe the Argos felt they weren’t losing much and decided he wasn’t worth activating. I’ve always said, it’s hard to evaluate talent based on college production, especially when they come from a powerhouse school that plays against considerably lower talent level most games.

Knight has had looks with 3 CFL teams now and has not stuck = perhaps he is one of those guys who was very good in college ball, but just can't cut in the pros; however - he was an all-Canadian DE in U Sports ball, but got converted to DT by CFL "thinking". Maybe he just doesn't have the size, strength and DT know-how to succeed at the CFL level.

And since you likely know little about other CFL teams rosters, nor much respect for their Canadian talent (pfft - good in U Sports ball top teams = useless for the CFL? - like Kurleigh Gittens or Dylan Giffen for example from the OUA? Kevin Mital - Hec winner? = pfft, just cause he played at Laval) - I'll let u in on the RedBlacks DT depth: solid veteran starter in Cleon Laing; backed-up by last year's draft pick D. Okpoko (played some last year and looked decent); and they this year drafted former Windsor all-Canadian DT M. Ageli - a 310 plus DT with huge bench press type strength. So maybe they were good with these guys over Knight; and that's how it should work with real TC competition. How's the Argos' Canadian DT prospects looking this TC? Mind you, anything the Argos brain-trust does is inscrutable football wisdom, to you anyways.
